What is the purpose of posting a gif with a woman being punched in the face? Humour? Relevance?

And my use of the  in some of my posts helps to convey exactly what it symbolizes.

I think it was humour mostly. Snooki getting decked is worth a few chuckles, regardless of race, gender, or creed.

And your use of  is conveying self-righteousness, yes?

It's more about guy with the yellow wristband getting punched!

Rolling eyes at the stupidity of the post content being responded to, but thanks anyway for the attempt at clarification and mind reading.

There is NOTHING humorous about a woman being punched in the face by a guy. Those who do find it humorous are sadly lacking something in their character.

Come on BB, that guy punching Snooki is wrong, but a bit funny.

Would you laugh if it was a girl punching her?

Now that you mention it, the other guy does get hit first.

Snooki annoys me as much as anyone else and I don't find that gif "worth a few chuckles".

That kind of attack would "auto-provoke" me into a confrontation with any guy I saw that did that. Even if I'm the one who ends up getting the worst of it. Don't care if someone accuses me of trying to be a "hero" or "white knight" or "self-righteousness". I like to live naturally and trust my feelings. Standing up for the weak is how I feel as a man. "protecting the family" should put women and children on any guys list.

Unfortunately greed(as a form of our competitive nature, and survival instincts) in many people, leads them to only worry about themselves or their own family/friends too often. If you ever put yourself in other people's shoes constantly, like I do, then you get an interesting perspective.

Edit: I meant calgarypuck.com, and nothing else

Don't know anything about that site as I've never been on it. Just know that Calgary is the only city where I've been punched in the head twice in one day by two different cowboys. It's also in the province that where a  recent survey found that 10% of men believe it's OK to beat your woman if she annoys you. So I think it's all relevant.

Say what you want, I won't hesitate to hit a woman if she's attacking me and is capable of actually hurting me. Last year I KOed some lil nasty after she blindsided me and scratched my face after I'd just finished a fight her douchebag juiceball boyfriend started. The punch was already on the way before I knew who was getting at me but I have done it just the same.

That's just defending yourself.

As a funny side note - I actually had a group of girls that were being extremely aggressive towards me(because I turned down a date with their friend) and had actually pinned me into a corner(5-6 of them). So I told them if anyone of them touched me I would later find them on their own and use hair clippers to "take a little off the top". Figured that was a more effective threat than violence. Either way they never bothered me after that.

I guess what OP is getting at is, it's okay for a woman to say end up in the men's bathroom while if it happened the other way, he'd be labelled as a pervert.

Have seen many women use the men's bathroom just because the women's was too long of a line.

It does seem backwards, doesn't it? A man going into a women's washroom is unlikely to see anything because we use stalls. But if I walked into a men's washroom I'd be more likely to see guys peeing.

Anyway, what bothers me about a lot of "feminist" women is that one minute they are calling for equality, the next they could be expecting men to open doors for them (and I mean, going out of their ways to do so) or to pull out their chairs at the dinner table.

Punching is punching. Either you are for it, or you're not.

I won't assume that you would find a man being punched humorous then.

They're making the argument that it is funny because Snooki has a terrible personality. If it were a man who acted the same as her it would be just as funny to them. You're assuming that they find it just because it's a woman being punched in the face.

You're either jumping to conclusions or being a hypocrite aren't you? Nobody said they found it funny just because it is a woman being punched.

If you'd read the posts in this thread, your questions would have been answered prior to you posting.

And you seem to forget from your previous time here, that the gif that was posted was not new and was then, as it has been now, removed because it is inappropriate and not suitable for posting on this board. Perhaps you should ask those who posted it originally and those who posted it today what the purpose was as there was no discernible motive for posting it other than this was a thread about whether or not it should be deemed acceptable to punch a woman in the face. The gif was posted/enjoyed by those who found it humorous previously and they have shown no other reason as to why it was posted today. It's not a difficult deduction to make no matter how you or anyone else wants to spin it.

Either way I acknowledged you most likely wouldn't find it funny for a man to be punched in the face. You're being difficult though and not acknowledging that the primary reason why they find it funny is due to the personality of the person being punched. Do you think they're trying to making a point that it's okay to punch women by punching Snooki? Would they make an argument about it being okay to punch men in the face by posting a gif of Terrell Owens being punched in the head? It was on topic and was just a joke.

I'm aware of that. I'm not judging your character. I don't believe that punching Snooki in the face is a reasonable thing to do and would not likely get in line to do so. I just dislike that you're judging the others in this thread for posting that gif and assuming that they find punching women something that is funny when I think it's clear that they only find it funny due to who the woman is herself.

Again, I'm not trying to say I disagree with your views on the matter of violence toward women. I simply disagree that the reason they find it funny is due to it being a woman punched. The only reason why they posted that gif itself is because it was on topic with the thread.
