Poll: Canucks interested in Evander Kane? (85 member(s) have cast votes)

Why is Evander Kane stalling in signing with the Winnipeg Jets?

  1. He's hoping for an offer sheet to come his way that will increase his contract price. (46 votes [54.12%])

    Percentage of vote: 54.12%

  2. He wants to be traded to a contender (the Vancouver Canucks) and has told Winnipeg management so. (39 votes [45.88%])

    Percentage of vote: 45.88%

Secondly, if Evander Kane stated that he wanted to be a Canuck, what should Gillis do?

  1. Back the Brinks truck up to Kane's house and sign him to a six year, $32 M deal (70 votes [82.35%])

    Percentage of vote: 82.35%

  2. Not sign him due to his lack of dedication to the team that drafted him, knowing he could pull the same Lindrosian antics here (15 votes [17.65%])

    Percentage of vote: 17.65%

Let's be honest, who "wants" to play in Winnipeg.

Well let us see here. Ladd signed for 4 years, Slater signed for 3, Enstrom just signed for 5, Pavelec for 5. Jokinen had 3 concrete offers and chose the Jets. Wellwood came back and could have signed elsewhere easily enough. Ponikarovsky, Montoya. Chris Mason couldn't stop gushing about Winnipeg and Stapleton said that last year was the funnest and best of his career. Mason and Stapleton are continuing to give Winnipeg credit after they both tried to return to the Jets and the Jets cut them loose. That says something.

So I guess the answer is, plenty of players? Have you seriously ever been here or are you just basing this comment on Winnipeg stereotypes?
