9 points in 14 games isn't very impressive, a 3rd liner in Stalberg could put up over a ppg in the sel, and even 17 year old Elias Lindholm has more points

He's second in goal scoring as a rookie, while playing on one of the worst teams in the SEL. :picard:

Do some research next time.

Jensen is playing for one of the worst teams in the league.

Not as many points are scored in Swedish hockey.

He's like second in goals in the entire league.

Actually he's outscoring Lindholm now, he got an assist and a goal yesterday so now he has 11 pts.

Second overall in goals, 17th overall in points, top rookie, all while playing on the worst team. This is very promising, and he does seem to have some consistency so far.

I see Alex Steen is sitting at 7th, and I would still love to pick him up.

Pretty good showing in what many consider to be the second best pro league in the world, and the closest comparable in terms of style of play to the NHL.

His goal scoring production thus far compares favorably with what Naslund and D Sedin did at the same age. They played for a much better team (Modo), got more ice time, and there may have been more scoring in the league as a whole.

Good decision to go play in Sweden this year then I guess, eh. He is exceeding what I thought he would be able to accomplish over there as a nineteen year old, statistically at least. I was worried he might not get the minutes to improve his game. Glad to see that I was wrong.

well he started on the 4th, and worked his way up to the first.

Lindholm is also a much higher regarded prospect.

I think he's already getting more minutes then Rodin ever did on a consistent basis.

Jensen is getting top 6 minutes.
Rodin only got top 6 minutes "somtimes" and spent most of his time on the 3rd line.

November 20th 2013, Canucks just lost their 5th straight game. Last time this happened the Canucks, they missed the playoffs.

Jensen has had success scoring at every level and every league he's played in. I think that shows how dynamic he is, both as a play maker, and a shooter. I have loved Jensen from the first training camp, and then the World Juniors. I think he is our most talented prospect including Kassian. Don't get me wrong, I like Kassian a lot, but Jensen has a higher ceiling IMO, and is more likely to reach his IMO.

No points today in a 5-4 AIK win with Jensen seemingly relegated to the 4th line.

Their third and fourth lines have been terrible. He's probably trying to spark them by putting a better player with them.

And it doesn't hurt to have Jensen learn how to play fourth line minutes. He might have to play that role for the Canucks in his first season.

@TysonGiuriato: #Canucks prospect Nicklas Jensen scores his 10th goal of the season and adds three shots on goal in 17:09 of TOI in AIK's 4-3 win today.

Why are people even mentioning Lindholm? So what if Lindholm is doing good. He's a star in the making. Already high praises by Forsberg, himself. Jensen is doing fine for a guy who was drafted in the very late 1st round.(29). Plus, you never know what you are going to get from a Denmark player. Regardless, he's still doing better than anyone would have thought he would off. The Canucks got a kid with potential in the late first round, not some guaranteed grinder with no offensive potential that you usually see at the late rounds.

Curious what proposal you would offer for Steen? Injury problems in recent years, but he's been both valuable and a Canuck killer when we've played. Plus I met his Dad in the Peg, not that that means anything...

It certainly looks like Jensen has a higher cap as a scorer / point getter. But as noted; we need guys like Kassian in a big way considering the balance of our make up. They could have equal value...

If they both pan out, then we are looking pretty damn good. They both have size, and paired with the right center, they could be pretty dominant. If Schroeder's offensive game is good enough, then I think we might have a pretty awesome line in the future. I really hope we stop trading away our prospects, because we've got some good ones. I still think I am most excited about Jensen. In fact, I would have his children.

I hope we can add a dynamic centre prospect either through the Luongo trade or up coming draft next season. Then I think the Canucks will have a decent prospect pool going forward.

Yeah, then Gillis just has to stick to his word, and give our young guys opportunity. We are getting older, and need to let our veterans teach the young guys to play at the level we've been at for the last 5 years.
