Frans Nielsen has the best shootout record in the league since the shootout started.
Kovalchuk is also extremely good at shootouts.
It doesn't matter how the puck gets to the back of the net, everyone thinks that Datsyuk's the best because he's always shown on highlights but fact of the matter is that he's only 9th all time. When he scores it's beautiful, but he doesn't get bonus points for style.

I said other so: Kyle Wellwood or Brendan Morrison because I remember them being rather ok at the shootout.

Jarkko Ruutu. Pretty sure his shootout % is up there with the best.

So because Toews could beat Frazee 5 years ago, means he should be trusted with the season on the line?

If I use your logic, Kane shouldn't ever shoot in a shootout since he couldn't score twice.

I'd much rather take a guy who's been able to get it done recently. Or someone who has basically an unlimited amount of trick up their sleeve.

Well yeah, Datsyuk is good, but saying you wouldn't trust Jonathan Toews or Patrick Kane in a season deciding shot is rather silly don't you think?

Toews is whatever, but Kane? Better % and he took 1 more shot.

I don't understand your trying to say in that last sentence there.

And no I wouldn't trust them in that scenario. If I was coach of the Blackhawks then I certainly would use them, but if I had a choice, I wouldn't use them until I had to. I would definitely take players such as Datsyuk, Kovalchuk, and Malkin ahead of them.

If I could choose 3
Datsyuk
Toews
Eberle

If I had to pick one it would be Datsyuk

Kovalchuk. Dude looks for holes and just puts the puck wherever there's an opening.
