Derp...
He's been injured a lot. He will be a Comet next year, and if he stays healthy he could get a call up.
Derp...
Blain is replacing Corrado in Utica! He deserves a shot, so I'm happy for him. Will be a good measuring stick for him and Blomstrand this weekend.
canucklehead44
Good numbers in the ECHL again this season. He had an underwhelming AHL audition last year, this is his time to show he can stick in the AHL. 46 points and +27 in 72 career ECHL games. Plus his size isn't an issue (6'2, 195lbs) and he brings some physicality. I think he is ready to make the jump.Blain just turned 22 a couple weeks ago so he is still young, but will need to push his way up to a second-pairing spot with power play time in the AHL next year in order to have a shot at an NHL career. It is really a numbers game, and guys who are signs vs draft picks seem to have a harder go of it (Blomstrand getting called up instead of Pacan for example). He doesn't exactly have stiff competition. Outside of Corrado most of Utica's D are older (Biega, Huskins) or similar long shot prospects (Sauve, Tommernes, Andersson).

CRAZY_4_NAZZY
Jeremie Blain who played 14 games for the Utica Comets last season has signed with the Chicago Wolves. How does that even work technically he still has 1 year left on his contract with the Canucks. So don't they have the power to assign him to wherever they choose?
