coleman26 Posted April 3, 2013 Share Posted April 3, 2013 Eh. Latta is a good prospect, and Erat helps now. Washington wins the SE, hands down. Jets have been awful lately and Carolina isn't going to come back from this drought. Erat wins them the division and gives them Toronto or Ottawa in the 1st round, and that's a good draw for a surging team. Not moving for a G is a mistake, but whatever. Baka Posted April 3, 2013 Share Posted April 3, 2013 Erat is a solid pick up for the current, very consistant despite playing in system that doesn't favor offense and Latta is not a bad looking prospect. They likely secured the division win with this deal. The only head scratcher is even if they lost confidence in Forsberg why wouldn't they max his trade value and move him for a bigger name player. The majority of teams couldn't even get 1 deal done. Looking at people's proposals of us getting all of Jagr, Clowe, Matthias and a defenseman just show the kind of unrealistic expectations people have.
