Raphael Lavoie is a big-time player with sweet hands and exceptionally shooting ability. Lavoie helped the Halifax Mooseheads advance to the QMJHL Finals collecting 32 PTS in 23 Games. (Lavoie tallied had 20 Goals and 12 Assists in those 23 Games). Lavoie is now set to play in the Memorial Cup Final against QMJHL rivals the Rouyn-Noranda Huskies. (Tonight @ 4:00PM PST) Lavoie also represented team Canada at the u18's where he scored 5 goals in 5 games. Nashville GM Rush17 feels confident Lavoie's scoring and playmaking ability will only get stronger as he fills out his frame. We like the way he can score goals all over the ice whether it's up close with his tips or deceptive shot, or from the point with his fantastic wrist shot. We feel Lavoie is a safe pick at 15 and we are ecstatic to have him on board with us in Nashville. We considered our options at this pick, as there were many young and talented players available. We feel however Lavoie makes the most season for our organization moving forward. We would like to thank @Blue Jay 22 and the Anaheim Ducks for making this trade-up possible. We are also ecstatic to welcome Cody Eakin to the Predators family.
