      Hollywood is not creative lately because the costs are so high. So they won't gamble on an expensive production without some kind of track record. Be it the director, writers, or mostly, Cast. 

      The films that take risks and are original, are the small low budget ones.

      The first Oceans 11 remake was fine, because Clooney & Co. were all slick, cool, and believably conniving. Sandra Bullock is none of those things.
