Well at least they brought in some assistant coaches with some pedigree.... as players. We will see how they coach. I still would have much preferred this to come at year end.

This is so annoying. Why bother with a new head coach just to get a bump at the worst time of year. Promote one of the assistants to 'interim HC'. We saw the same thing in BB's first year but again, it was too little too late. Save the coaching bump for the start of next season when it matters.

Using the likes of Eriksson, Dickinson, Beagle, Gagner et al is not the most compelling argument lol. It sets a pretty low bar. Mikheyev has been great. It's not that Miller is terrible value it is more the timing of the signing and the tough spot we now find ourselves in. We would have much more flexibility this year if Miller wasn't already signed long term. We could have more room to re-sign Horvat and trade Miller or vice versa.

So ridiculous! Miller could have repeated his 21-22 year with 99 points and still have been offered the same contract. To absolutely no one's surprise he has regressed back down to earth this year. Miller and Brock were the most boneheaded moves. As you say, a little bit of patience would have gone a long way. We could be in a position to pick between Bo and JTM, or trading both if neither wanted to sign. With our current situation I think we should: - Suck it up and keep OEL, Brock and Myers for the remainder of their deals. We won't save anything by the time we replace them and we will be stuck with dead cap. - Trade one or both of Bo and JTM depending on what offers you get for JT coupled with Bo wanting to resign. If that isn't an option, we have to trade Bo - Resign Kuzmenko ideally. If he can't be resigned over the next month then we have to trade him unfortunately.

Alf give it up. He's as good as gone. Paraphrasing... he is is saying that if we/Canucks don't make the playoffs then his individual success this season is wasted. He doesn't want to waste more of HIS career.

Milic is only 6'0 which is a little short for most NHL goalies.

Cost aside, there is actually a lot of support staff that travels. By the time you throw in 25 lie flat seats, there are less normal seats available for support staff. Other than flying a hockey team around, a plane with that design would have very little uses.

If Bo doesn't want to have those discussions with management until after the season then he needs to be traded. I think it is totally fair if he tells the media that he doesn't want to talk about it with them until after the season.

Byram is LHD and a concerning injury history. I would hope to get a better fit in exchange for Bo.

Does Colorado have any young players/prospects that serve us though? People keep throwing out girard but he is redundant with us having QH.

The thing that irks me about the Miller signing is that he could have put up another monster 99pt season this year and we you could justify the same contract. Here we are now with a shite team, Miller is producing at just under a ppg and is looking like he will be another overpaid 30 year old. The frustrating part is that so many fans saw this coming a mile away. We could have been in a position to sell both him and Bo OR trade whoever garnered the best deal for the club and sign the remaining player. Even if they chose to move forward with JT his play this year has not justified an 8x8 extension. There would have been flexibility with cap and asset management moving forward. The front office botched it.

I'm happy france turned it around. It really was a fantastic match. Once you get to penalties it's anyone's game. I'm happy for Messi, obviously a phenomenal player. But the ARG keeper is a clown.

It certainly has been a lack luster finale. Thecommentators have mentioned a few times that France had Covid this week which is unfortunate. It would explain why they look like trash.

I think we would get more trading boeser separately. Horvat at 50% will be the most sought after asset in the league this season; I don't think we should target a small/agile LHD in Girard as we already have a better version in Hughes.
