      Yeah, I think the logo is a major fail.  Their name is KRAKEN.  There are so many cooler things they could have done to the logo with a name like that, but they ended up with a stylized "S".  I do like the anchor secondary logo and the lettering is cool too.  If they had that anchor, with a tentacle grabbing it and forming an "S", that would have been sick.

    If you meet a cute Aussie gal from travelling Europe but she'll literally be a world aways soon, what would you do?

      I was actually in the same boat.  Met a girl from Denmark in the Caribbean and we only had a week together before she went back home.  After keeping in touch, I flew to Europe to see her 6 months later - was only supposed to stay a week, but extended it to 2 weeks, we fell in love, then shortly after, spent the summer together camping and travelling around BC and Alberfta, and fate was sealed.   I married her overlooking Bow Falls in Banff, and we now have 2 teenage kids.

      Keep in touch online, and after a bit of time you'll both know if you want to see each other again.  if so, one will fly to meet the other in their home country, you spend some time together, and then you should know.

    did i just read between the lines? in their scouts meeting, JB asked the scouts about the shaw kid. couldn’t find a shaw in the draft, but in the montreal write up, they said montreal was going all out to move up in the draft. 15 to 10, i wonder.?

    Anyone else worried the Rangers are on the upswing? 

    They just hired John Davidson. They have 2 first round picks and 2 second round picks. They've got a lot of prospects. Yikes.

      The rangers are bold enough to make the BIG trades - selling off quality players while they are actually worth something and get a really nice return in picks/prospects.  Canucks, not so much - gotta hold onto everyone because they are "too valuable" to the team.

    Love the logo idea in your display pic. Now that would be a cool crest. Reminds me of the Whalers logo, which I always liked.

    Canucks GM Jim Benning is looking to add "speed, speed, speed" in a trade according to Rick D.  Rick also believes VAN will be hard after signing speedy UFA winger Michael Grabner. Grabner a former Canucks 1st round pick.

    @ScanBC: #NorthVancouver crews responding to Capilano Road after a bee flew into a car, stung the driver, who then crashed his car.

      I'm allergic to bee stings and once had a bee in my car while I was driving.  Didn't take my eyes off it as I rolled down the window and it flew away.  By the time I was done, I looked up and I was on the opposite side of the road, almost in the dirt.  Scared the crap out of me.  Luckily no cars coming the other way.
