Can you imagine what Vancouver fans would have done to him if he was on the team during their slump years (since 2015). He would have been castrated and everything would have been blamed on him every single night. Just like it was before he left. There are so many of those "fans" out there in Van it's no wonder he wanted out.

Ryan Spooner shouldn't be on this team. He immediately killed that line. Take a look at the stats, this guy has gotten worse EVERY YEAR since he broke into the NHL full time.

As I said, clearly you haven't been paying attention to the Comets. That is exactly what he is doing and that is exactly why they are killing it.

I disagree and I'm willing to argue that you haven't watched Comet hockey if you still think that. This guy has a bunch of GWGs and has positioned himself as a leader of that team, a team that is pushing for the top of their division. Gaunce has been doing everything right. Guy deserves an opportunity, he was YOUNG when they gave him a chance and didn't get to develop yet. Now he's actually decent and they won't bring him up.

Gaunce is doing great in Utica. Positive plus/minus, couple of shorties, tied for most GWG, filling up some part of the stat sheet every night. Too bad he can't catch a break.

I see a Goldy that IS putting in the effort to do what the coaches are asking of him. I see him battling harder, staying creative, and hustling back.

I get what you are trying to say here, but there should be a stat to show that Gudbranson is better in the Defensive zone then. He should be causing more turnovers from his hits, enabling more exits from the defensive zone, making breakout passes, but he isn't. It's a fact that he isn't able to do those things. He throws some hits, but not as many as he used to, and none of them are bonecrushers like he used to. He has 2 fights this year, which is his specialty (the league just doesn't fight anymore). The fastest he has skated all year was chasing down Svech after he gave him a dirty hit. The whole picture doesn't paint Guddy in a gud light, he still isn't very good. He is a physical presence, he is the Sestito of D and that's it. I hope he can improve, but so far that's all he is and anyone arguing something different is ignoring the reality in front of their face.
