  1. Utica will be a great progression for Palmu's game. I can see him surprising a lot of people
  2. Next years camp will have a lot of good competition in it.
  3. Would love to see a line next year in Utica of Dahlen MacEwen Lind
  4. I like a line up next season of Baertchi Horvat Boeser Sedin Sedin Pettersson Granlund Sutter Gaudette Leipsic Motte Virtanen Eriksson Archibald With Eriksson subbing off for Pettersson or Gaudette who ever needs it.
  5. Centre tryouts next season Horvat Sutter Motte Dowd Gaunce Granlund Gagner Gaudette Pettersson
  6. Ya he has a way of freezing the puck while waiting for the defence man to and goalie to leave an opening then before you can blink its in the net. Also I think he is the king of the head fake - then quick turn. In one of those highlights after receiving a long pass a player came in to hit him along the boards and he faked him out last minute and went the other direction causing the guy to hit the glass. This is very subtle unique elite skill he possesses. I think his lanky frame add to his ability to be successful in hockey. On top of his skating, IQ, speed, passing, puck on a string, head and body fakes, he has pin point accuracy. What a treat to watch. Pure brilliance.
  7. Boqvist might not be NHL ready now but he might have the highest upside. His skill is elite like Pettersson. I am a big fan of having a physically imposing team that dominates other teams but he might be the right hand shot puck moving defence man we have been looking for. Dahlin would be my first choice because of his 200 foot game. But Boqvist is almost a year younger and doing amazing things in his league. I can see him having a breakout season next year like Pettersson did. If we pick top 5 I think we will be ok. Dahlen Svechnikov Zadina Boqvist Tkachuk Bouchard Plus if you listened to Benning last draft he recognized the NHL is moving towards speed and skill. He wanted prospects with speed and skill. Tkachuk and Bouchard look really good but they can't skate like the other guys in the top 6. Q. Hughes could also be put in that group. Teams need a guy who can quarterback the whole play and set all the forwards up. That said any of those players would help us out a lot!
  8. That logic could also work on Adam Boqvist for this years draft.
  9. I would love to see Dahlen, Gaudette, Juolevi, and Pettersson all make the Canucks next fall plus possibly whoever we pick first in the 2018 draft. I mean what do we have to loose? the line up we iced this season didn't work out to well unless our goal is to get another low draft pick Petterson Horvat Boeser Dahlen Domi Eriksson Leipsic Gaudette Virtanen Gaunce Motte Archibald Edler Dahlin Del Zotto Stetcher Juolevi Gudbranson
  10. Yes sign him. And sign Tavares too please. Future Dahlen Tavares Petterson Kane Horvat Boeser Leipsic Gaudette Goldobin Gadjovich Motte Virtanen Then we can draft best D available
  11. What is happening in Sweden right now? we need to get him over here!
  12. a really good college signing could also help speed up the rebuild process
  13. I would try and move Tanev at the draft for another top 15 1st round pick
  14. I think he looks better offensively than Max Domi or Sam Bennet. At the trade deadline I was on board with making a big play for one of those guys. That fact that we could potentially get the top 6 LW'er that we were looking for to play with Horvat and Boesser just by trading Holm is beyond impressive. This might be up there with the Naslund trade. Great job by Green for recognizing his talent and great job by Benning for getting this deal done. I see this as our first line for this year but ideally it becomes a solid second line after Pettersson comes in. Also Motte looks like a good fit for a 4th line centre.
  15. In watching his highlights I think for him to be more successful in the NHL he should improve his skating edge work and probably conditioning. The Canucks trainers will help him with that. He has a good shot and likes to score from one knee similar to Mike Cammalleri. He scores most of his goals from the opposite side that Brock does. On a power play I would like to see Green play him with Brock and Bo. His playmaking will have to improve also to be on that line full time. Regardless he will be a welcome addition to the room. I can see a high energy guy like him bringing the best out of Bo and Brock.
  16. Is that Green behind Portland's bench?
  17. Really excited to see this guy in action. It will probably take a while before he is comfortable with the team and his role. Similar to Marchand this guy is a natural born agitator. Green will encourage this and let him play his game.
  18. After a good off season of training and I suspect him to have a dominating year down in Utica.
  19. I am happy to see he has recovered somewhat after that hit he took in Victoria. Hope he has a healthy and productive remainder of the season. A good off season of training and he should be getting some serious looks in training camp.
  20. Does Dahlen have NHL comparables? Projected skill level. I want to believe he can play on the top line. I really hope his skill translates well. Would Alex Nylander be a reasonable comparison?
  21. This guy is awesome. Hope he fires up the other guys on the team and they all play with more spunk!
  22. Was going to say what should his nickname be?
