  1. I have heard coaches compare him to Brad Richards and Ryan Kesler
  2. Charlie Macavoy is a good example. I think Evan Bouchard could be the guy out of this years group. He has the mobility, point shot, and size that translate to the pro game. He doesnt have the sick skating and dangles that you get from Dahlin, Boqvist, Hughes or some others. This is where scouting skill comes in. I also think Bouchard would pair well with Juolevi.
  3. I also thought that Dahlen was specifically a LW until I was checking how to spell his name properly and saw that he shoots right. Pettersson has played in all three positions. I have a feeling he might be more successful as a winger who doesnt have to fight the big centres in the league like Getzlaf, Kopitar, etc.. Horvat can go up against anyone but on a good team I see him being an ideal 2nd line centre. I agree that Dahlen has first line potential but I think its more important that Boeser has players who can pass him the puck. I think ideally Pettersson proves me wrong and takes the #1 centre position with Dahlen and Boeser as wingers solidifying our first line. I think Lind will be a second liner as well. He has incredible passing/ play making skills and an edge to go with it. A lot of people have Gaudette pencilled in as a solid 3 line centre who brings offence and an edge but I think he could be more. The last guy who dominated college hockey that much was Brock Boeser. Gaudette has a drive to win. He wills things to happen. He might not be as flashy as Pettersson or Boeser but he also might be the guy were looking for on the first line. Then there is Goldobin who has showed flashes of brilliant skill. We have a bunch prospects with top 6 potential and it seems like a pretty good problem to have. I think only time will tell untill we know what we have with these prospects. I think Zack MacEwen has gone somewhat under the radar. He skates very well for a big guy and can chip in offensively. He also fights when needed. Similar to a Zack Kassian. He is having a really impressive first season in the AHL. I have high hopes that he can join the new core we build. I am really excited to see the transition of these players and others that we continue to draft onto our team. Dahlen Pettersson Boeser Goldobin Horvat Lind Gadjovich Gaudette Lockwood Archibald MacEwen Virtanen Juolevi Bouchard Tyramkin Stetcher McEneny Foote Assuming we take Evan Bouchard and trade Edler for Cal Foote.
  4. Petersson Gaudette Boeser Goldobin Horvat Dahlen Granulnd Sutter Gagner Gaunce MacEwen Virtanen
  5. Im surprised i would be saying this but I think Pettersson wins that draft by a lot. Benning did will to get him. But I really hope we add a young skilled physical forward up front to help the smaller guys out.
  6. Stetcher is all heart and determination 500!!!
  7. I was hoping we could buy him out or pay to trade him.
  8. I wouldn't be surprised if Dahlen and Goldobin make the team next year. Would be nice if we got a couple more high end D prospects Baertchi Horvat Boeser Dahlen Gaudette Goldobin Granlund Sutter Gagner Gaunce Dowd Virtanen Archibald Edler Stetcher Del Zotto Tanev Hutton Pouliot Juolevi Biega
  9. I was thinking about that today also. Going to be back in contention pretty soon. Dahlen Horvat Pettersson Tkachuk Gaudette Boeser
  10. Plays a similar style to Zack Kassian Archibald MacEwen Virtanen
  11. Not sure what line he plays on or how his play has been but these are his current stats. Guillaume Brisebois D 46 1 8 9
  12. After this season I hope he has a productive summer in the gym working out and improves in areas that Canucks management feels he needs to improve.
  13. I don't blame him for leaving. but I hope we get him back next season.
  14. Dahlen Gaudette Pettersson Goldobin Horvat Lind
  15. Sounds like he might be top line material in the future. Dahlen Pettersson Boeser Baertchi Horvat Granlund Gadjovich Gaudette Lind Gaunce MacEwan Virtanen Juolevi Boqvist Tramkin Stetcher
  16. I agree, and its also about chemistry. Sometimes really skilled guys play better when they have a hard working crash and bang type player who can create room for them to do their thing, so chemistry can play a big part when forming lines. Sometimes players look good on paper but when you try them in real life they don't work out. Maybe Pettersson takes our top line and Boeser goes on line 2. Pettersson Horvat Lind Dahlin Gaudette Boeser
  17. He's going to be so good for us! Cant wait to see him on a line with Brock.
  18. I think Gaudette will be good enough to be our 3rd or 4th line center next season.
  19. If possible I would like to see us go after a younger tough guy like Tom Wilson from Washington or Michael Ferland from Calgary. If not then hopefully Yan-Paval Laplante can help hold people accountable.
  20. I would rather have Adam Boqvist. A dynamic high IQ puck mover who will pass the puck nicely to Pettersson and Boeser on the power play. PP unit #1 PP unit #2 Horvat Gadjovich Boesser Lind Dahlin Pettersson Juolevi Stetcher Gaudette Boqvist
  21. I just see Juolevi and Rathbone as different type of players that would each compliment each others game. Juolevi has elite IQ the ability to slow the game down and make elite level passes. I see Juolevi as a first line defence man who needs to be paired with a dynamic puck moving offensively skilled defence man. Rathbone could be our guy. Would be great if he was. If Rathbone makes a rush Juolevi will quietly stay back and make the smart play for the team. You need both types of players for a well rounded team.
  22. Keep positive thoughts Even, your knee will heal and you will be a part of the Canucks new core moving forward. You will have a long successful career in the NHL.
