[Rumour] Canucks Getting Calls on Luke Schenn
kenhodgejr replied to Warhippy's topic in Trades, Rumours, Signings
Schenn's value is at an all time high and he would clearly be an attractive piece to bolster a teams bottom pairing for a cup run. He adds a lot of value to our team but if a good return could be had right now from a desperate team looking to win a cup I say we take it. Most obvious to me is trading him to Tampa for Cal Foote and a pick. Maybe get back a 2023 2nd -
[Rumour] Canucks Getting Calls on Luke Schenn

would you trade Schenn, Rathbone, + our NYI 1st to NYR for Bradon Schnieder? -
[Rumour] Nikita Tryamkin eyeing NHL return
kenhodgejr replied to -Vintage Canuck-'s topic in Trades, Rumours, Signings
He was clear that if he came to Vancouver to play hockey for them it would have to be the NHL and not the AHL and he was told to go play in the AHL which he refused. So he ended up watching his team while standing at the end of the rink which was highly embarrassing and disrespectful. -
[Rumour] Canucks getting calls on Thatcher Demko
kenhodgejr replied to -Vintage Canuck-'s topic in Trades, Rumours, Signings
Canucks are lucky to have a number 1 franchise goalie with two affordable and reliable backups on the team and goalie prospects on the way. Let Demko take the year off to get healthy and run with the backups. Having a loosing streak with your backups in net is less of a news story so its a better strategy if we want a high end draft pick. We should keep our best Goalie for next season. If we trade him we do it when his value his high and we have a back up is better than him. -
Boeser has low trade value now and still has more potential to show. He is only 25 and was seriously sidelined with injury which affected his development. I think his body frame is naturally bulky as opposed to being long and lean, more built for speed so speed will never be his strong point but he could improve. Perhaps trying a vegan diet would be good for him. Teams look at him now as an overpriced ok player. We sold Horvat when is value was at a career high. I think Brock will get better by next year. If we can afford to keep him until next years trade deadline and give him top minutes to boost his stats his trade value will be higher. Unless someone really wants him now and will pay a decent price I think its better to trade him next season if we can afford it.

Joni Jurmo? He’s our best prospect in the system, he should make the team
kenhodgejr replied to Odd.'s topic in Canucks Talk
It will be good for him to play a few seasons in the AHL and start to utilize his size more. I would like to see him work on lining guys up and dishing out big bone crushing body checks and fighting more. If he can become good in those areas as well as get his pro hockey timing down and playing a responsible and reliable shut down defensive game he could become a nice option for Vancouver -
just our luck we will win games down the stretch and will be drafting something like 15 and 23

Raty has an underated release with his shot and ability to create space and plays. I see him as a goal scorer and someone who could slot in on our power play. Finishing off the season in Abbotsford will be good for him and if he has a good off season of training he should be able to make the team as our 3d line center next season.

Beuvillier has always said to have a lot of potential. Building strength was his biggest knock as a prospect. Hes had time to do that and is now much stronger and capable to play in the NHL. I think his best years are ahead of him. Last season Bauviller had 34 points in 75 games. At the same time in their careers Horvat and Miller each had around 55 points. Under a new coach and with top 6 minutes on the Cancuks I dont see why next season wont be a big improvement for him.

will be interesting to see how he fits in Abbotsford's top 6

[Rumour] Bo Horvat Trade/Contract Talks
kenhodgejr replied to HOFsedins's topic in Trades, Rumours, Signings
if we delt with Dallas a trade of - Wyatt Johnston, Thomas Harley, & 1st would be ok with me -
To Calgary - Brock Boeser To Vancouver - Chris Tanev Calgary gets younger and adds help in a top 6 wing position. They have good depth on D so Tanev could be moved. Vancouver has extra wingers and needs better RD. Tanev's contract is much better for us and is a high character, leads by example type of player. Could help as a Captain or assistant captain.

[Proposal] Miller to Florida
kenhodgejr replied to Coconuts's topic in Proposals and Armchair GM'ing
I like this proposal. Vancouver gets younger and removes a toxic personality in Miller. Reinhart gets to come home and finish off his career for his home town club. -
