  1. Need some help understanding the reserve list from the cap guru's out there. Two of our guys (Tryamkin and Zhukenov) are listed as "indefinite" for a date we need to sign them by... how does that work? Doesn't there have to be a specific date or does their going to the KHL extend the must sign by date?

      At the top of that page in red writing it says cap friendly follows the rules as stated in their FAQ (provides a link). The FAQ indicates players who sign in the KHL don’t require a qualifying offer, and the team will hold theirs rights indefinitely.

       

      I don’t believe this is true... but technically Cap friendly told you that. I’ve seen that we hold both of their rights until June 1st 2022.

      Looking at a few teams, it’s seems their policy on Russian players in the KHL is wrong. A guy on Tampa’s reserve list is 35 and never once signed a contract.
