I had not thought of that but it is a possibility. He may only be an AHL player and there is nothing wrong with that. Signing him to an AHL contract and not using up one of the few remaining NHL contract slots does make a lot of sense.

I am not convinced that they will sign him even though he is a very highly skilled player. His lack of size and weight are a concern IMO.

Well at least we agree on a few things Timra. That being said; Loui did not live up to the expectations of his contract and the fans. It happens, you will note that I do not recall using the Loui emoji and if I did it was very seldom. Loui is not the first player to struggle on a new team; it happens. As for Dahlen; I do not know what transpired in Utica so I really can't comment on how it went down.

It was a general comment on those engaged in this topic; I don't recall mentioning you specifically. They would never have survived at the mill I worked at for 43 years before I retired. All this self righteous indignation is pathetic IMO.

Not sure it was actually a shot at the city or just a desire to be back in the playoffs again. What he said could be taken a lot of different ways. Regardless; he is an Islander now so I will root for Beauvillier, etc going forward.

And who's fault is that; Bo's? I do agreee he is overpaid but that is not on him but on Islanders management.

I really do think Bo had mixed feelings about leaving the Canucks and is having a hard time adjusting to his new team and its style of play. He did a lot for the community while he was playing here and some people tend to forget that fact very quickly.

Hard to deny that Horvat has not lived up to his new contract but the signing is as much on the Islanders management as it is on Horvat and his agent. That team and his contract will not age well but who can blame him for signing that contract when that kind of money and term is offered.

No disrespect to Horvat as it is a team game and the Islanders needed to show up tonight and failed to do so.

Pretty good bet that the Islanders miss the playoffs after tonight's performance. Horvat may be able to go golfing early this year again.

A number of CDC'ers on here seem to be in a real rush to get these prospects into the NHL. I personally think that it is a mistake to do that before they are truly ready.

I have a feeling that Martin will back up Demko and Silovs will be the mainstay for Abby next year. Delia, IMO, will probably not be re-signed and Tolopilo will be Silov's backup.
