Yeah; If he plays like his dad, Scott, he will be a popular player in Abby. -

In projecting who is on ELC's and returning plus additions McWard, McDonough and Jonansson; the Abby team for next year could be a very good one IMO. -
Coyotes lose vote for new arena - future unclear

Well; if the Wiley Coyote is dead they are just going to have to name the new team ... the Houston Road Runners lol. Oh; guess they can't do that either as it might offend the AHL farm team -

This is a great signing extension for both Abby and AKL. Fan favorite that adds some grit when needed. Solid defensive D man -
McCann and Virtanen were both rushed into the NHL long before either were ready. Personally, I am glad to see the change in philosophy with the new management team and their desire to fully develop them in the AHL or SHL as the case may be.

The rule is a crappy one IMO; coaches should be allowed to give direction to players that ask for it before heading into the off season as long as it is before the playoffs and the "season" officially ends. added... if they truly wanted to level the playing field; the 16 teams that did not qualify for the playoffs should be allowed to do this in the month of April.

Interesting to note that Aatu's brother Aku, has signed an ELC with Arizona. Both are listed as centers but being a forward would probably be more accurate.

I like Stech as both a player and person but I would think that Juulsen or Keeper would be a better fit because of age and also a lower salary Cap hit. Both Jet Woo and Filip Johansson need more seasoning in the AHL IMO. Unless the Canucks pick up a RD in the off season, this is what I feel is the most likely scenario

I doubt that he would clear waivers as some team needing an offensive D-man might grab him. I do like Rathbone as a person and if he was 6'3, 215 lbs and was able to process the game at an NHL pace we would not be having this discussion IMO. That being said; we already have an slightly undersized elite LD-man in Hughes and there really is no room for another one of similar style that does not have that elite ability of Hughes. What the Canucks could really use is a large mobile D-man with a lot of truculence in their top 4. That type of player, if acquired, will make Jack expendable.

Philly should shop in their own neighborhood and stop trying to raid the neighbors clear across town -

Lots of coaches got their start with the Moose. Alain Vigneault, Scott Arniel and Randy Carlyle to name a just a few. -

The move to Winnipeg for the farm team in 2001 was actually a good move as Winnipeg did not have an NHL team at the time as it moved to AZ around 1996 or thereabouts. Lots of players and coaches had successful careers after cutting their teeth in Manitoba. -

Silovs and Martin are going to have to be sharp in order to beat the Wranglers. I agree; this should be a barn burner of a series. -

Yo.... run down to the concession and grab a couple of brews. -
If indeed they are staying in Canada for the summer, that would be a good thing in a lot of ways besides the risk of conscription. Opportunity to enjoy the area during the summer and ready access to Canucks training staff and coaches once they are back to training for the upcoming season

I recall some of your posts from years ago when you were known on here as East West or something along that line. You really should consider moving back out West and bring daughter and any other significant others with you.
