  1. I haven't been a fan of how the NBA expanded their playoffs, so I would say keep it the way it is. Having 50% of the teams in the league make playoffs is the right number.
  2. Yeah when the Canucks made this pick I would say majority of people were happy with the pick. It's been 4 months since he's been drafted...can't call a kid a bust just yet.
  3. I think if you are going to move a forward to clear cap space, those are the two that are most likely. Based on both their contracts & lack neither have NTC's
  4. Well yeah, it's only 20 games into the season. However, the Canucks wouldn't have pursued him if they only wanted to have him for one season. He is still adjusting to the North American style game. I would say right now though, the positives outweigh the negatives and him/Petey/Mikayhev have developed some good chemistry.
  5. Exactly. That went into the decision of him signing anywhere. He knew he could only sign a one year deal for his first contract, but he didn't want to go anywhere for just one year.
  6. At the end of the day, this is going to be one of the deepest first rounds in the NHL Draft in a long time. Excited to see anywhere from 8-10 WHL players taken in the first round this year.
  7. Correct, he will be a UFA after this season. I think he would probably want a 4-5 year deal following this contract. I'm sure something was also discussed in the initial contract discussions when bringing him to Vancouver and what the organization sees for him in the future.
  8. I think it's too early as well. He is slowly getting better, However I would have preferred the Canucks letting him develop in Sweden or the AHL for a year or two before rushing him to the NHL so he could get the ice time he deserves. Still have high hopes for him.
  9. Yeah I agree. There isn't much more to this move than that. I think they would have liked to have added a bigger name, but they need to figure out how long everyone is going to be out for + their cap situation.
  10. The two GM's that I think would 100% fleece Allvin on a Bo trade would be Yzerman and Sakic.
  11. Because they genuinely think the team is close to competing for a cup again. From what they saw in the bubble, to the late season flash last year.....they think we are close....when we are not. You are 100% right. We have barely anything in the prospect cupboards, we have a core that just doesn't appear to be working, and one of the worst blue lines in the NHL. A rebuild is logical...However, ownership sadly doesn't see the same way most fans do...and as a result the Canucks will be stuck in mediocrity until something changes.
  12. I felt the same way Bear. I would say so far so good on this trade, especially considering we didn't have to give up much acquire him. However, it is early.
  13. You would hope there would be some dollar flexibility if he wants 8 years. However, if Im Bo's agent and I see Miller getting 8 x 8.5...I probably want the same.
