  1. I just looked it up - making four of a kind with three hole cards to one -> 0.01 percent. That's garbage. There's no way a person can be that unlucky.

      Having pocket aces is NOTHING compared to the statistics involved with this situation happening.

      Statistically speaking, Quads on the FLOP, and you're holding an ace, three handed, and the opponent has a pocket pair is extremely rare, and near impossible. To satisfy both those conditions, the percentage should be below 0.01.

      It's not "just" Ace high.

      It's the likelihood that the board is three aces, AND an opponent is holding an ace, AND another opponent is holding a pocket pair. If this is not crapty luck, I don't know what is.
