My dog woke up and is limping quite noticeably

It's actually not an uncommon thing to have. My diagnosis (I'm not an expert by any means), is that your dog has what's called rapid eye movement behaviour disorder. In simple terms, the condition involves the person/animal to not be paralyzed during their REM sleep (where the most vivid dreams occur), and they end up phsycially "acting" out their dream.
Like I said, it's not uncommon, and the fact that he only twitches is probably a good sign. HOWEVER, not...

Yeah it's just small twitching and noises in her sleep. It appears to be nothing serious, although she was too hyped up to limp apparently, but the vet did see weakness in her front left leg. She also commented on her hind legs/hips (likely arthritis). Good news though
Edit: She's a lab/retriever mix, not just lab.
