      I don't think it was a hurricane by definition. Just a large winter storm with hurricane force winds. Caused a bit of havoc, but it wasn't as bad as I thought it would be. Perhaps it's because buildings here are generally made of stone as opposed to wood and are therefore less vulnerable? I don't know.
