    Can someone explain to me why bounced around between a couple leagues in Russia last season? Is the MHL and VHL like the AHL and ECHL of Russia?

    Really doubt Olli be in the starting lineup since it sounds like Benning is making a push to sign at least 1 another defenceman. Could see him getting a call up later in the season with injuries. Woo is still 1-2 years from the NHL.

    Small sample but so far Kakko with 5gp 6g 7pt and Hughes with 5gp 0g 1pt Obviously, USA has a MUCH deeper lineup so Hughes probably isn't getting that much ice time.

    He's a disappointment for a 6th overall pick and I don't see him ever becoming a true top six guy but trading him for a 3rd rounder is just stupid.He's still a great player to have on the third line.

    I'm probably reading too much into it but Aquaman's letter kind of suggests that they're almost ready to give Bo the C. "Bo Horvat maturing into a skilled, durable leader who can play with anybody, against anybody, in any situation."

    His value couldn't be any lower than right now so I feel like we should showcase him a bit until the next TDL (if his body doesn't break in half) and trade him for something of value.

    I'd give a bit of credit to our scouts for selecting 5 NHL caliber players out of that draft if we include Forsling to your list there. Just sucks that had some misses in the 1st round, terrible trades, and a certain Russian ditching us.

    Oh damn.. Doesn't look as impressive then I guess. I just started at 12 because I was originally trying to look up the year that all those bust dmen like Pouliot, Koekkoek, Reinhart were drafted.

    Just looking back at drafts since 2012 and noticed that every single NCAA defenceman drafted in the top 15 has gone on to become a pretty good NHLer. Trouba, Hanifin, Werenski, McAvoy.

    He is a little overpaid but I'd much rather get rid of Brandon "more injury prone that Salo" Sutter. We need at least one vet center defensive specialist in our bottom 6 but we shouldn't be paying that much to have 2. edit: just saw that poster above me already said the same thing
