  1. Not sure why it posted like that lol. Essentially his notable picks in Buffalo were:
  2. If the Canucks expose Juolevi I think Seattle takes him. Maybe Lind or Gads if they are exposed. I just dont see them taking a bad or longer term contract without being paid to.
  3. The only way to slow down McDavid is make him play defensively without the puck as much as possible.
  4. The key is being able to maintain possession and not just dump it in and turn the puck over only to get hemmed in their zone for 2 minutes on the ensuing rush.
  5. Never say never against the Canucks lol. Lots of players seem to have breakout games against them historically.
  6. The Canucks are struggling to score lately. McDavid is on fire. Whats to hate? If the Canucks play passive D and give away the puck as much as they have lately, he might get 10 more tonight.
  7. Not sure about the Chatfield experiment. I wouldnt mind seeing Bowey get a couple of games to see what he might be able to do.
  8. You really should learn to recognize a joke bud. I know you feel the need to slag me at every opportunity even though you apparently put me on ignore but cmon.
  9. Ignore the gp as its from an old post. These were the years he was a big part of scouring in Boston. A couple of great hits a whole bunch of trash.
  10. Ok, just gonna put this out there. If the Canucks put two goalies and 4 skaters on I would be pretty impressed with the ingenuity.
  11. I think Green was asked about Rathbone and was non committal about playing him.
  12. Its called redundant actually. Scouts you dont trust to do their job arent going to be scouts very long. Benning himself has recommended - and drafted - a few duds himself. Maybe the scouts should have evaluated his work too. Your comment displays a significant misunderstanding of what scouting actually is and how its done by competent organizations. There is a reason a lot of good employees in the management have left. Benning has shown that he struggles with giving his staff the autonomy to do what they are hired to do. He has centralized everything to him and Weisbrod rather than trusting his staff and effectively delegating.
  13. Any player could be fit in for just above 1 mil. Its barely above league minimum. Adding on even that small amount would in fact be a lot tougher based on the serious lack of cap wiggle room Benning has painted himself into.
  14. Its pretty fair to say based on what has been reported and said by both sides that for some reason the cap was not currenrly available. Hard to say exactly why that is until more shoes drop. Could be EP and QH negotiarions are going worse than many expect. Could be he has already decided to extend Sutter and Edler to use up those available dollars. Could be that he has his eye on some more UFA players or trade targets that would require the cap space. It sounds to me like the Canucks wanted to lowball him and are just making excuses now. Maybe he was asking for 4 years at 3 mil per but there is nothing to suggest it at this point. 1 or 2 years and an amount Benning at least publicly said he could agree to.
  15. I havent seen any number reported other than a mention that the Canucks countered with jusf over 1 mil. I have seen nothing stating what Tryamkin asked for and Benning said he was comfirtable paying if he could clear cap.
  16. Its not bias at all. Its fact. Benning wanted to get OEL and was trying to fit his terrible contract in so badly that he forgot to negotiate with his own ufa players. Thats been widely reported. Of course it interferes with the pom pom waving, I get it.
  17. Just going by what Diamond and Benning said.
  18. Benning runs out of time on a lot of things seemingly because he has to personally micro manage scouting. I understand its the only part of the job he can be described as good at but really it speaks to his inability to prioritize all the parts of his job.
