Yes just assuming off his playoffs and how steady he’s taken on a supporting role the guy deserves 2.5 and he will get it if not more somewhere else just me putting out a number I think he can be had at and being reasonable to us still

Awesome this makes me feel way better about the markstrom nonsense going on. I’d love a solid goalie to be able to relieve Demko when he’s struggling (yes we will see demko struggle at times in his first season as a starter) I can’t see Khudobin being anymore than 2.5 million which is very reasonable

I get it as I do a lot of us have emotional connections to players we have. And after the steps we took this year a shake up seems strange but benning just may have to find a way to get creative to make a more well balanced team rather than paying up for our pending guys, I highly doubt we lose all 3 but i highly doubt we keep all 3 big names and then there is virtanen and stech on top expect a diffrent looking team once game 1 rolls around and have faith in petey bo and Hughes to pack whatever roster benning thinks is best suited to win, I am personally expecting a block buster at some point in the near future weather it’s OEL or something completely out of left field like how the miller trade developed unexpectedly last draft.

I never said he wasn’t I’m just saying as of right now Jones is a better dman, I could see that changing in the very near future but in a non bias opinion jones is above Hughes on the depth chart in 2020, I don’t feel the most comfortable at times when Hughes is in our own end against big men trying to defend down low, but I believe he will get stronger and smarter with that

I don’t think Hughes is close to Jones yet but I think his ceiling is much much higher than Jones, so def would not do that trade, Hughes and boeser for Jones and Pierre luc Dubois tho now we’re on to something lol
