Coyotes lose vote for new arena - future unclear
Petey Castiglione replied to mll's topic in General Hockey Discussion
As bad as I feel for Yotes fans, I'm relishing the giant F Bettman gets. That smug sesame street count and his cronies need to be taking more L's. -

It took me a long while to figure out wth was going on with that bracket and I still don't fully understand. Anyone know where to watch the game online tonight? -
[Signing] Canucks sign Elias Pettersson

Confused and happy! Nothing like having 2 of your best player! -
And he said, "bless thou prospects with great hockey development, for I have risen. Connor Bedard is a Vancouver Canuck, as is my will."

[Signing] Canucks sign Cole McWard

Exactly what I was thinking reading that description. IIRC Tanev was also a late bloomer and played for a much less recognizable collegiate program. Hope management keeps up the good work as it seems they've hit their stride. -

Great news. Anyone have a run down on Cole McWard? -
[Signing] Canucks sign Nikita Tolopilo

Not the Nikita I was waiting for. Lol. Nice to add more prospects between the pipes. With Silovs looking ready to take the next step we need another youngster to bring along on the farm. (I also just realized our "farm" team is in an area with a lot of farms ) -

Do you know anything about Truscott? Can't recall if it's his senior year or not over at Michigan. -

Johansson has less to prove than the NCAA prospects IMO, playing in a pro league. What's left to be seen is if he can translate to the smaller ice. Juulsen and Woo are still in the mix and have (by all accounts) progressed nicely this season. Don't think RHD is as pressing though we don't have much in the high end RHD, we have some interesting options moving forward. -
New Captain America is actually a Canuck! Jokes aside, that's a great story. I was there for Petey's first game/goal and Boeser's first hatrick, where you just had to laugh. Nothing beats these memories. Edit: I realized that it wasn't the "just had to laugh quote" but the "he got lucky" quote. I feel like this slip up is acceptable and I hope Boeser is laughing all game.

[Rumour] Nikita Tryamkin eyeing NHL return

I'd like to see the big guy come back. He's just entered his prime and if he's really commited to his fitness, he'd be pretty valuable on the back end, even in a 3rd pairing role, and change the make up of the defense group. Don't know why some people don't want him on the team just because their feelings were hurt when he left. I'd welcome him with open arms and enjoy the season of him once again, throwing dudes around on the ice. -
Respectfully disagree, Jay. Not many are willing to drop the gloves with him and the few fights he had this year were stopped early with Joshua clearly being disappointed. I think he was more focusing on his game as he is getting the opportunity to be more than a just a goon on our team and he's showed he can be. IMO not many teams wanted to try and tempt the Canucks with Schenn and Joshua on the roster.

We don't think Joshua is tough anymore? Doesn't seem like many want to drop to gloves with him.
