  1. You’re entitled to your opinion and I’m entitled to mine. That’s crap space you could use else where.
  2. There were dumber options like resigning the guy. Option A trade Option B let walk for free Option C resign
  3. Buddy lumped all former Canucks into one statement. Therefore; messier and Bo are in the same category
  4. I’m not hurt over him saying whatever buddy. Look at my post history I’ve always been anti Horvat. Look at my other comment you responded too earlier, I stated I never liked Horvat. It’s not my fault reading comprehension isn’t a requirement to post here but if someone is going to keep misunderstanding my posts on here and continue to smugly respond I’m going to clarify my comments until they understand. Ultimately, freedom of speech exists, so if I want to criticize former players, I will
  5. What’s moronic is all of you crying over a lame duck captain who just called you all out. I clearly also stated in my comment that I was ecstatic at our return meaning if I was GM I would’ve traded him too.
  6. How is he not a villain? He rejected contract after contract and ended up signing for a ridiculous contract after being on a hot streak for half a year. He’s also fallen off a cliff after signing his retirement contract. Clearly he’s not as good as he thinks. Boo hoo cry me a river why should we bend over for our 4th/5th best player? He would’ve handicapped the team HARD. All of you old head fans bent over for him. It’s what inflated his ego and made him think he was worth more. Why should Hughes, EP40 JTM give a damn about Bowie. They have put up historical seasons from a historical Canucks perspective and have been in trade rumours at one point or another. Bo has literally coasted through his whole career here putting up middling numbers and I can’t remember a single time where he was in trade talks or anything. People act like Bo was the glue that held this whole team together and he wasn’t. He’s escaped so much scrutiny in his time here. People were talking of trading EP40 when he was struggling, JTM when he put up 99 points last year, QH in his sophomore season, Bo never faced as much scrutiny
  7. lol I’ve never liked Horvat. I’ve made that abundantly clear. I’d rather have lost him for free rather than resign him. I’m beyond ecstatic at our return for him. Most overrated player in the NHL. Wasn’t even half as good as prime Toews, who in my opinion is THEE MOST overrated player of the past few decades.
  8. Yeah if he’s as good as he thinks, it falls squarely on him. Us smart fans know Bo is a secondary/tertiary player though. Much as we wouldn’t put the primary blame for our shortcomings on Garland, Pearson or a Boeser we shouldn’t really blame Bo right?
  9. Haha literally. The obsession with the little things. I love seeing these shocked comments about Bo rolling in. From my experiences in life, it’s always the super nice humble ones that aren’t always what they seem. I respect Bo a bit more now though to be honest. This is the most fire/personality he’s shown in his whole career.
  10. Oh WOOOOOW. Against the 70 point powerhouse Flyers destined for the draft lottery too? What a big game player Bowie is
  11. No wonder Horvat supporters like pansy players like Horvat. Horvat literally called Canucks fans out and Canucks fans are still defending him LOL. Grown men and women continuing to support a player who just called out their “team” LOOOOOL. Also Horvat is no longer a Canuck, so he’s continuing to “flame and spew negative c***” about us too. You’re literally calling us out for behaviour that your hero Horvat is currently doing.
  12. So you’d rather be paying Horvat 7 mill to be a secondary player today and a tertiary player a few years down the line? Got it.
  13. JT miller is the only Canuck not named Pavel Bure to average more than a PPG in his Canucks career, had 99 points last year and is a PPG this year as well. On what planet is JT Miller a secondary player? Just because he’s not our BEST player at this point in time doesn’t mean he’s not a secondary player. The JT slander on this forum is ridiculous. Tell me what player you’re going to get with the 1-1.5 million in savings if we picked Horvat? Are you going to sign a 4th line plug with that money? Jayson Megna, Curtis Lazar? Damn we’d be way better off hey? You’re basing this 6.5 on rumours, Fact is he didn’t sign for that much, he was offered 7ish from us and ended up getting 8.5. On no planet and on no team is Horvat superior to Miller and he ended up getting more money than him. It’s pretty ridiculous. It goes to show you how much being a nice guy and a captain gets you overpaid. I’d rather have a team of Aholes than a bunch of namby pambies. You know who else is notorious for being a bit of an AHOLE? Nathan Mackinnon. He’s got a cup now. Doughty is as well, Kucherov, the Boston Bruins organization
  14. I don’t think Bo would have signed for 6.5. It was always rumoured to be 7 or more. Luckily our management agreed that he wasn’t worth that much. As I stated before Trocheck has a similar impact and gets paid 5.6 a year (signed as a UFA too). We wouldn’t be pleased with Horvat at 6.5-7.5 either. Him leaving represented a culture shift here and the beginning of a new era. Something this team needed. You don’t pay secondary players more than 7 million a year and hope to be successful.
  15. Ultimately I don’t like Bo. Never really have to be honest. Probably one of our most overrated players of all time and in my opinion one of our worst captains ever when considering hockey talent. Nothing you or anyone else says will convince me that he is worth anything more than 7 million a year. If we had given him 7 million though I’d probably still cringe. I’d even argue that at this point Kuzmenko is more of a valuable asset than Horvat when you consider it being his first year, his production and his contract. I’m beyond ECSTATIC that a perennial 50-60 point player who signed for EIGHT POINT FIVE MILLION DOLLARS (at or more than Stamkos, Heiskanen, Draisaitl, Zibanejad, Roope Hintz, Jack Hughes, Quinn Hughes, Brady Tkachuk etc…) returned us a top 4 RHD, a legit C prospect and a top 6 winger. Any true Canucks fan knows we got an incredible return for him. The reason us Horvat haters come out still is because there’s a portion of the fan base who still seem to insist we made a mistake not resigning Bo to the ridiculous contract he signed. Emotional decisions get you no where in life. Get over Bo and see him for what he really is. Vincent Trocheck provides similar impact for 5.6 mill a year.
  16. Horvat didn’t have good linemates because he never was a prime offensive player. He never had the skill level to play with high skill players for extended periods nor be pencilled into a top line role. He’s not a play driver, he’s a decent finisher. Nothing else. Why should he be gifted better wingers than EP40 or the Sedins? What offensive playmaking prowess did Horvat ever show?
  17. I think at this point McDavid is underrated by a lot of people. He’s dominating his peers at a level that only Gretzky and Lemieux have done. The point differential between him and #2 is far greater than Crosby ever did. Jumbo Joe was racking up points at a similar pace to Crosby during his 120 point season. If you want to compare plus minus, McDavid compares nicely to Crosby as well. The best defence sometimes is offence, and McDavid is always dangerous when he’s on the ice. It comes down to style I suppose. Mcdavid is the best offensive player that’s come around since Wayne/Mario. Crosby plays more like a grinder/well rounded but anyone saying he’s anywhere near McDavid offensively is a bit delusional. Appreciate his greatness. McDavid also averaged 2 points a game last playoffs. Not his fault his organization is horrible at surrounding him with a well rounded team. Crosby was blessed with having Letang, Fleury (superstar goalie) and Malkin.
  18. If things are based on probabilities then yes odds are he would leave based on what he’s said. Are you the type of person who blindly believes everything politicians say when they’re making campaign promises? Beyond delusional is a strong choice of words haha. I see two franchise level NHL players on our roster and you seem to think otherwise. You are also the one who is aiming for a mediocre team by seemingly wanting a full rebuild. Arizona has been perpetually rebuilding, the Sabres have too. Edmonton is another team.
  19. Hughes literally alluded to it yesterday (his brothers are also doing quite well on the NJD and it’d be foolish to think they’re not speaking in his ear during the summers) and EP40 has stated multiple times he wants to win (he’s two years away from UFA). Canucks forum: “Hey guys we’re going to tear the whole team down and hope we win the draft lottery a few times. Do you guys want to sit around for 5 years or so while we replenish and hope that multiple 2nd and 3rd round picks turn into bonafide cup winning players?” ok so piss off the two best players on the team, have them leave and then replace them again and be in the same position 5-7 years from now? You have no plan lol. You’re plan is “HOPE”. Hope that random draft picks over the year end up panning out. Remember Jett Woo? Jonah Gadovich? William Lockwood? Kole Lind? Dipietro? Gaudette? How have they been doing lately? These are the round 2-5 picks team full rebuild is begging for. how about the late first round picks that you all want from contenders? Boeser (don’t y’all want to trade him?), shinkaruk, gaunce, McCann, Jensen, Schroeder, Patrick white? These are the game changing “rebuilding”, “proper way” to go about things?
  20. What’s your long term plan tell us. Are you all up for shipping out EP40 & Hughes? The players have literally told management they’ll walk if they rebuild. Are you suggesting a full year down? Getting depth pieces isn’t as hard as accruing top tier franchise level defencemen and centres.
  21. You all want a rebuild but don’t seem to see that we have franchise players to build around already. They’re also not old and on the decline, they’re entering their primes. We’re going to have a higher end draft pick this year as well. We also have our pick next year. We have a top tier franchise centerman and defencemen. In redrafts Pettersson goes 1st or 2nd. Hughes is going 2nd or 3rd as well. Those two are superstar potential players. There will be a time when all these guys start clicking and come together.
  22. This guy probably plays NHL 23 where you can rebuild your whole roster in 1 year. Sign matthews, pastrnak and Dobson in free agency.
