  1. It most certainly is. The players are not great themselves, but Mike Yeo is the king of getting the worst out of his players.
  2. Don't worry, J.T. Messier will publicly come out for 50th time and deny it. Only he knows the "real" truth.
  3. I left two spaces after my message in honour of the two goal leads we love to give up. Starting the fun early!
  4. Skip the GDT...jump straight to the PGT for the memes, cope, and banter. That's the best (and only?) good thing about being a Canucks fan these days.
  5. You call tell Jason Dickinson had a lot to say about this team. No other reason for a Blackhawks analyst to have any other intel lol.
  6. Well, sometime between his hiring and now, Jim Rutherford found 56 million reasons to keep things the status quo. So much for playing the game the right way and with good habits.
  7. Shayster007 and AnthonyG showing more compete in this PGT than the Canucks did in their past four games. Tells you all we need to know about the state of our pathetic team. Makes you wonder...
  8. Dakota Joshua might have the physical tools to be an effective fourth-liner, but the skill and talent is virtually non-existent. He doesn't need to be EP40 out there, but a good fourth-liner should be able to chip in 10 goals/10 assists or so. I don't think we're going to get even 30% of that from him in a full season. Jim Rutherford certainly has the experience and expertise, but he's made his fair share of mistakes, as well. Penguins fans still don't take too kindly to Jack Johnson and that contract Rutherford gave him, even a few years on from him being bought out. Then, there's the whole thing with trading for Gudbranson (from us, mind you) and shipping him out within a few months. That seems to be a trend with Rutherford - identifies certain roleplayers, but not having them work out. No doubt Canucks saw a certain profile in Joshua, but at the end of the day, he needs to have a bit of the offensive game going as well. Many of us have yet to see that out of him. Still lots of time to get going, but it's not encouraging thus far. On that note, keep on rocking, Icey! Always a pleasure to chat hockey
  9. J.T. Messier will never be scratched. In fact, we should hope he plays out of his mind so we can yeet him as soon as possible and kickstart an actual rebuild.
  10. All coaches have things about them that'll drive fans nuts. I personally like Boudreau as the coach, but we haven't given him a chance to succeed at all. That's on the players primarily, but management as well.
  11. Tears in my eyes, man. Everybody rooting against the Canucks, what has happened to my beloved team?!? Anyways, 8-0 Canucks. Joshua hattrick, Stillman brace. Petey, Bo, and Miller with a goal each. Career-high 4 assists for Demko.
  12. Nope. Under no circumstances should a guy like Aman be in ahead of Garland. Same story for Joshua. Could probably say the same for Pearson, as well.
  13. I was preaching the same thing. Well, for different reasons, but good to see the team is playing in a way that justifies my sentiments.
  14. Any chance we can get an update for 0-3-1? Asking for a friend.
  15. I can't even lie, man. This is actually hilarious. I'm not even disappointed or upset, either. That's how far gone this team is from reality. The "at least we aren't Arizona, Ottawa, and Buffalo" crowd is gonna have to find something new. We're actually worse than those teams now. Life as a Canucks fans. So down bad, Mariana looks surface level.
  16. I've been reliably informed that J.T. Miller has called a "floaters only" meeting after tonight's result. Players and coaches won't be allowed in the room! Progress!!!
  17. Two more blown leads but at least a point they're walking out with. Hopefully 2.
  18. Thank you, Aladeen. To receive a compliment like this, from a respected and charismatic diplomat no less, I truly...have no words. I'm just grateful for the message of positivity, in what seems like a sea of false accusations thrown my away about my behaviour. I'm not sure what troubles the Petey_BOI's of this forum, but I genuinely hope they engage with my posts with an open mind. I know that I've committed to seeing the arguments that others make more openly and with greater heed of what's being said. I've found that it leads to less confrontation and really, more opportunities to re-think my own thoughts and opinions. People have tried to claim I only come out when there's controversy, but really, I just don't see the value in superfluous posting that borders along the lines of "Go team go!" or "Hope we win". I demand more of myself when I post, and usually, those opportunities come from the hard topics and difficult discourses pertaining to the Canucks in this diaspora.
