  1. Yet, the Coilers still need 5, 6, or 7 goals to win a game, any game.
  2. Just curious, have you seen him play? I've only been to two games in Abby but he looks pretty damn good. Good hands, and plays in the dirty areas. I hope they let him play the rest of the season out in Abby though, as well as Hoglander.
  3. At the time Myers was a huge upgrade over Bieksa. That's what GM's do though is overpay. The Canucks got one really good year out of Vrbata, so I really don't think they do well in free agency, save Kuzmenko.
  4. they did, but they do have two of the best players on the planet, a good supporting cast, but a terrible D and goaltending isn't going to do it. They aren't that much further ahead of the Leafs. To me the Coilers are trying to replicate the teams of the 80's, by winning 7-4, etc.
  5. Add all the players to that as well. Throwing games isn't in any of their dna. If it was, they wouldn't be play at this level.
  6. Plus, TML's are still awful in their own end. They'll be golfing after the first round.
  7. Slick hands from Karlsson! The replay doesn't even show it hit his stick.
  8. So, in this game we want an OT/shoot out to decide the winner?
  9. He hasn't played a game in the NHL, let's wait on him to see what they have. Linus Karlsson isn't a bad option over Raty either.
  10. I believe AB will stay over Boeser, because of his speed and all the things you've mentioned. Garland should stay, he's been working his arse off since the coaching change.
  11. Those teams also had a top 4 defense that the Oilers don't have, anywhere near have. I would take any of those three teams goalies over the current Oiler team.
  12. He was REAL bad last night. If a coach could ever get into his mind and tell him to stay on his side of the ice, he'd be fine. Boeser was REAL bad last night. Demko looked ordinary last night. On Crouse's goal he was on his hands and knees, Myers was laying on the ice, oh well. The Coyotes are tied with the Canucks.
  13. Yep, all of these kids played, less games than in EP's draft year, so far the only one that sticks out head and shoulders above the rest is Bedard. The next two drafts could be a crapshoot as you say. The Canucks got really lucky with EP and Hughes, but take Podz, and see what it takes to develop kids properly with time and coaching, then see what tanking means. You never know!
  14. Dallas probably wishes they didn't have to play the Canucks again this year. They've looked pretty ordinary in games this season.
  15. The first guy is always injured, and Bear hasn't played many games either. I don't know about you guys, but isn't it a bit odd that Brisbois, Juulsen and Wolanin have stepped up and played just as well as those so called NHL'ers. For whatever reason Brisbois has never been given a sniff, but to me, he's passing the eye test.
  16. Part of that system was having goalies that should be in the AHL, plus having Demko play when he clearly wasn't healthy after surgery.
  17. This kid has finally gotten a shot, and is making the most of it. Good on him!
  18. Plus, on Saturday night, he was the first star of the game, while he mostly played center. He knows his way around the net, but in my opinion, the best player in Abby, hands down is Hoglander. He was NHL ready in his first season. A few of the current Canucks commented on his play. Tanner Pearson, called him the "real deal".
  19. Going back to last night, how in hell do the Coilers or Leafs ever expect to win a cup giving up 7 goals? Or having to score 7 in a playoff format?
