  1. Other than their coaching record, yes they have. I'm still on the fence with Tocchet. Are you including JT, Boeser, Myers? I'm not trying to be a dick, but, I see no difference in this team, than when BB was here. BB didn't have a healthy Demko, who I believe is saving this Canuck team from being a total embarrassment.
  2. The Canucks had a much better record under BB than tocchet, and would have been a playoff team IF Demko and Horvat didn't get hurt. We're talking guy who coached the Arizona Coyotes, not Scotty Bowman.
  3. Alf, he makes no more or no less mistakes or turnovers than the Boeser's, the Millers, or the Pettersson's on the Canuck roster. I'm not buying what Tocchet is selling that's all.
  4. Ok, I'm going to get roasted for this. This is the issue I have with Tocchet. He wants player buy in to his system, no shortcuts, blah, blah, blah. Who gets benched in the third? Kuzmenko? He isn't playing the right way, or Tocchets' way. So who messed up on the tying goal none other than Quinn Hughes and JT Miller. The two of them were on the boards waiting for each other to take the puck and the Flame guys comes in and scoops it up and the game is tied. Were they benched? Of course not. This is no different than what Kuzmenko did while trying to get the puck out of the Canucks zone, none whatsoever. Player credibility, for which players, and when is all I'm asking. The kid is approaching 40 goals, the Canucks are in a meaningless game, yet we continue to see JT Miller turn the puck over on the power play more often than not, and make blind passes off the wall into the middle of the ice in many games. Tocchet can talk all he wants about having players buy into his system but, when the so-called leaders of the team do it as often, and get away with it without any retribution or discipline then what is this system he keeps talking about?
  5. That's an NHL f**king goal.
  6. I hope this kid goes on a great playoff run, has a strong off season to train for camp, and then comes in and blows the socks off the Canuck brass. That wrister is pretty damn good.
  7. What do I know, at the time I thought he and Loui were going to turn this franchise around......
  8. He does, but I'd rather lose with raw rookies, than seeing a pro on the ice looking so lost and out of position. There's no excuse for his play, and to think I was one of this fanbase that was excited to see him picked up as a free agent.
  9. I believe I heard John and John saying the Canucks had used something like 16 defensemen this season already. Could it be that the size thing matters? The forwards aren't heavy enough either.
  10. But, it's the system! I'll say this, if Tyler Myers is back again next season, I'm done!
  11. I grew up listening to disc jockeys in most markets my old tube radio could pick up. Vancouver had many and Red was probably the best at one time. I'm trying to remember how many stations he worked for in Vancouver. CFUN, CKLG, 'NW, CJOR, CKWX, I'm sure there are more?
  12. Is Hoglander injured? Or, has he really cooled off?
  13. Considering he's playing very limited minutes, he's been alright given the situation he's in. He's getting an NHL salary. I'd like to see him around next season too.
  14. I have to wonder if they (the refs) realized they blew the call on EP. The forums they had with Tocchet that seemed like they were checking a video replay on an off side that take so long to decide. I hope from now on EP doesn't try to do their jobs by trying to wave off penalties that might get called against him. That was brutal. As for Myers, man what a disaster. He's trying to do way too much on the ice, without looking after his own position.
  15. What other info do you have on Nikita? By his jersey I'd say Euro?
  16. It's main rink is decent, but the secondary rink is in need of a severe revamp.
  17. Hey all, even though I don't live in Maple Ridge, my grandkids do though, I thought I'd pass this reminder on to have you all vote for arena improvements. I voted for my hometown of Princeton last year as well. Sign up and vote as often as you can. Surely a Western Canadian community can win this thing. If not in the proper thread, please move it to the correct one.
  18. I at first wasn't impressed with the Colliton hiring, as he didn't exactly turn heads in Chicago. Maybe this step back is good for his (Colliton) development too. Mark my words this organization is going to reap the benefits of having those two around, here in Vancouver and finally their farm team an hours drive from Vancouver. Look at the improvements of kids like Bains, Karlsson, Hoglander, Woo, having finally three kids that can play defense at the NHL level in Brisbois, Wolanin, and Juulsen.
  19. Brad Shaw and Scott Walker say hi. If anything the Canucks played even better with those two in the fold. Did they not go 7 games undefeated? Myers was plus 16 as well. No, I don't want Myers back at all, but he wasn't the entire problem. It wasn't until Horvat and Demko got injured that the Canucks fell out of the playoff run last season.
  20. Why would the Canucks trade Hronek at the trade deadline before he's even played a game?
  21. Your plan B, extend Myers? I want to at least see him in a game, before CDC decides they want to move him.
