She could have easily been a different race to fit the story line. The villains could have invaded an African or another Asian or even European country. It was a 30 second scene. Its Hollywood... eyecandy is important. That's why girls that lack talent are superstars like Megan fox... etc

Honestly I haven't seen the show so I wouldn't know. Acting was great in it... im not complaining. I'm the type of guy that likes to see a few of my favourite actors though in movies. This was the best movie I had seen in a while. I would have liked... Toby maguire or Jared Leto would have been great main actors. As for the Chinese girl... they needed her to be foreign... so it made sense. Wish they made her a little more appealing though. Or used an African American or Arab or someone else... either of those would have worked. Again that being said I loved the movie. Would 100% recommend it. Just a little criticism.

Pacific Rim 10/10 Wow. This was far better than avatar ... such a great and unique story. Too bad it lacked famous actors though.

My list of hatred level 1. Duncan Keith takes the cake by far Marchand, hitler, gillis, Stalin, income tax all tied for #2 Team will be fine without Keith... he's a dirty disgusting redneck. Ratboy is very well suited for NHL playoffs. He would be pretty useless in the Olympic style of hockey though... its more gentleman like than ratlike. Too bad Keith is ln the team... I hope he's injured during the Olympics.I hate him
