  1. TIL: This is still MacEwen's rookie season. It feels like we've had him for a while but by the NHL's rules, he's still a rookie

  2. It was an Oiler that pushed the puck in Pearson's direction. Maybe it contacted Hoglanders stick/body on the way by, but Hoglander was being hit by an Oiler and didn't actually play the puck https://streamable.com/jmy1jo
  3. It works out better anyhow. If Tryamkin were to play this season, he'd be eligible to be taken in the expansion draft. The fact that he can't play here till next season is fine with me
  4. Pod or Tryam? I think both can play for us this season even if they sign a 2020/2021 contract after April since they are both on our Reserve list of players.
  5. Is Jasek not at camp? Wasn't Eliot cut to make room for him?
  6. For a player already being healthy scratched because he won't re-sign, doubling down on how sure he is that he'll leave is definitely a choice.
  7. Has a Canucks prospect ever had 731 pages of discussion before his first regular season game?
  8. Don't we have to cut at least one person to add Hamonic to the training camp roster? Because of the 36 person limit?
  9. That would be Woo's 5th full Junior season. What a waste. He needs to play in the AHL to develop
  10. Can you imagine when this happens mid-season? 6 guys is more than the entire taxi squad
  11. Does it mean anything that Mitch Eliot was assigned to Utica before Woo? Or even if Mitch is 'closer' to being an NHL player, the continued experience here would be more valuable for Woo
  12. I haven't heard Motte's name once in all these camp videos and tweets. Quiet camp for him so far?
  13. If we can bring Podkolzin over to play at the end of this year, we'd have at least 1 first round pick on the roster from every draft from 2011-2019. This is coincidentally every year we drafted in the first round between years in which we did not have any first rounders. 2010: No first round pick. (Canucks first pick was 4th round, 115th overall. Patrick McNally) 2011: Miller (15th overall, NYR) 2012: Pearson (30th overall, LAK) 2013: Horvat 2014: Virtanen 2015: Boeser 2016: Juolevi 2017: Pettersson 2018: Hughes 2019: Podkolzin 2020: No first round pick (Canucks first pick was 3rd round, 82nd overall, Joni Jurmo)
  14. Refs need practice too. I guess every ref and linesman of the Canadian division will also be Canadian? So that the refs and linesmen won't need to cross the border?
  15. With the shortened season, has the number of games played required to be considered a player's rookie season changed?

I think I remember seeing that it has changed but to what I don't know and no I don't have a source unfortunately

I don't think Calder eligibility would be affected as that is based on what has already happened ie games already played.

I could see this season being prorated to adjust to compensate for the number of games going forward but I also don't feel the 26 game difference merits it.

  16. Adam opens up about his twitch streaming https://canucksarmy.com/2021/01/03/conversation-micaela-adam-busy-offseason/
  17. McD and Drai aren't exciting enough for him? Especially with Klefbom out
  18. I've read that Hamonic's children are immunocompromised. That's why he opted out of the Return-to-play this summer.
