Well the whole team needs to be on the same page, until that happens, which might takes a cpl of more games but look what happened last year.. this time is a tad different and a better roster so give it time, it'll happen.

We're 2 games in, new players on the team leaning systems, and injured players, do you honestly think we'd be on top of our game off the hop?? People need to start being realistic for a change...

Expect more, JR isn't stupid.. give Lek 2-3 years will make up for giving up a D in a shallow draft wasn't exactly rocket science. The next draft is deeper so betting JR does just that. And when Tanev Eddie etc were here we needed top 6 forwards.. Petey Boes JV and got Hughes, we haven't done that bad but now we can go after D especially since Kuz showed up and added to a bit of a log jam and up front so no need to go after forwards anymore anyway or at least for the time being, 1-2 drafts I'd say.. something like that

Man people need to get over themselves and let the team play and get used to each other. It's not as bad last year but there's always a adjustment period and we haven't had Mike in the lineup either and 2 dmen down on top of that. Like I said a few weeks ago, wait until we lose 2 in a row and Canucks nation would lose their $hit and scream tear it down.. So here we are and it's happening and the media is jumping on board... I guess some things never change.. Blah, it's getting old as selling the farm routine and never winning a cup.

Thanks Vinny, made my day again seeing the team with Mike (my nick for Mikeyev now) Looking forward to watching that speed demon in action. Have a day off for a change, glad I can catch the game. Wish we could trade Pearson for a RHD to add a lil depth but I guess having him is a top 6 is depth in itself but if he got injured, I doubt it would hurt us especially with Kuz basically making him expendable but Pearson would have to waive his trade clause but made it known he would IF it was to a contender but who knows if a contender needs him or not. Might end up being trade deadline bait if said contender has injuries and wants him. Meh... Who knows, one can only wish but speaking of Kuz, what a steal! Must have killed the oilers fans to see him on our team lmfao!

Ok this might seem odd but for me, this has me on the edge of my seat waiting for the Canucks newest Russian Rocket Mikeyev, ok so there's no one with the dangle of Bure to match the speed but Mikeyev is no stranger to twine twisting 101 and as fast as McDavid? I never knew that until I saw this.. And past that, guys like that inspire others to be faster so hoping it rubs off! If you haven't seen this, enjoy! Antsy to see him in the roster! Yeah it sucked royally for sure but you should have seen me when I heard the news his sorry ass was gone. My landlord heard the WOOOOOOO!!!!! and asked me what was going on and I smiled and said the best news I've heard in years!!

Dude I cringe even typing it, honestly I can't get my head around what happened to that guy. He had some wicked highlight reel goals before coming here and we all thought he would compliment the Twins, and I mean everyone, even the media thought that too. I only saw him play as advertised one f'ng game, heard he played well in one other but missed it. I'm still puzzled to this day to why he up and disappeared all of sudden. I, arguably was one of the happiest people alive when I heard he was gone! (Notice I didn't say his name or type his initials this time)

JB did fine under the circumstances, when he came aboard this team was a disaster, no one could have fixed it, we didn't even have a farm when he arrived and a broken team with a shi_load of long term contracts from MG. Sounds like you listen to the lame Vancouver a bit too much..

Omg thanks, I'll be chuckling on that for awhile, that's the reason we don't have a cup in the first place, you can't win without a farm and we always sold ours off for a roster, worked great until the playoffs.. then injuries, then exit.. anddddd repeat. I'm glad to hear we made it under but just as happy because I saw Klim involved, been pulling for the kid since day one hoping he'd work his way into what JV was "supposed" to be. Otherwise I'd say this shouldn't really surprise anyone, it's not like it JR's and Al's first gig, pretty sure they worked hard on the math and negotiations. And a hard nosed RHD in Stillman sure helped. All this roster needs is playing time together, once it gets going it will start to steam roll..

Not from me, he's a decent D but can fight ok and can clear the crease, same Schenn, same with Stillman. We need this on every pairing, we can't expect Demmer/Martin to stop what they can't see when their screened by a big forward parking in front of the net. We need to clear that problem up before we can get far.

Well we can agree to disagree about the fan base, ok maybe I can be a bit more explenative about, I'd say most fans, BUT not all, I've seen a lot of good writing and insights that wow'd me even here, it's literally the same. The majority seem to believe what the media says that's completely b.s. and not just b.s. but laughable b.s. I'll always point to JT Miller example, we rocked that trade but if you watched what the media said and believed it, you'd have thought the Canucks just got screwed... I couldn't believe my eyes and ears in the middle of it, the guy looked great when he moved up the line-up of Tampa when they had injuries and played top line and played it perfectly. And part of the picks traded was the other part, since when are draft picks gauranteed? Even first overall have busted and we never get top 3 even to have a shot at a game changer and we ended up getting one in JT and again, he did it perfectly here too... It's hardly the only example by a mile, I even tried to see if there was anything online worth reading because the province and sun had horrible writers. Then to my horror, I started to see where a lot of the CDC was getting their information from and quoting it like it was true, omg I didn't know it was that bad... CanucksArmy.. Athletic... Etc etc are a complete joke but if that's where a lot of people are getting their information then none of it should surprise me I guess but whatever.

Oooops I should have went deeper on what I meant.. it was a move beyond to a point who was the worst and caused the worst damage to the franchise.. in my mind that's LE, followed by Luongo but in his mind I'm sure he thought was he was signed to something that wasn't going to go against league rules or ruling but end result hurt us in a cap situation where it came at another really bad time, there's never a good time for it to happen but for us it was the worst time.

I disagree, the worst was LE by a country mile and a few light years as well. I saw one game where he played as advertised and one other that I missed but heard about.. Bonehead has so much potential but because of boneheaded thick skull, it's highly unlikely he'll ever get there. That's the only area no one can do anything about but him... What a waste!

Well this seems normal for this team, we've lost so many guys to injury, and at the worst possible times, especially against Boston losing hamhuis nearly killed us but I think either Salo,Tanev, or Edler was the nail in the coffin. I can't remember which one it was but our D-corps were in bad shape. Then Torres swatted the B's nest and woke it up, all history after that but had we had some depth, that might have been different but again, the farm was sold for the roster. Bit us in the a$$ AGAIN! I'm so glad that's all over, for once we're starting the farm.. with this kind of luck we need it, more than once I've thought "this team seems cursed" At least there's that, but thankfully Mil should be back soon and he will make a immediate upgrade, that man has speed to burn, right there with McDavid. Last time we had this kind of speed was Bure, lest I'm forgetting someone, Courts was pretty fast too.. And Boeser shortly after but the depth we have in Kuz should turn out ok with the mini sample he's shown and he's still new. IMO, IF out of some weird change of luck on injuries I see this roster making at least 2nd round. The farm I'd the key, since we have to overpay usually to sign players in Canada for the reasons we all know, ELC's from the farm will make us or break us.. I just don't see our luck with injuries changing, except last night that Hughes and Petey were uninjured but I'm sure their feeling it as I'm typing this. Dodged 2 bullets there (I was in shock they both got up) I was horrified and thought, oh great, here we go again.. Thankfully though! Whewww both ok but I'm sure you remember how many times it went the other way and with no depth we'd go on losing streaks.. The thought of depth seems like such an odd concept for us but I guess since it's the first time that's normal. Don't F it up JR, Please!!! I can't take much more of this ffs!!!!
