  1. Hughes - 1RD 2LD - Hronek 3LD - 3RD Wolanin - Juulsen I think 1RD is headed towards.... Matt Dumba I think 2LD is headed towards... Carson Soucy I think 3LD is headed towards... Ian Cole I think 3RD is headed towards... Justin Holl (pending a trade of Myers) I also think Rathbone is going to be headed somewhere whether with Myers or with Garland as an additional piece.
  2. Foote as a young, large, stay-at-home steady partner for Hughes would be a nice free add if nothing else comes along.
  3. My only concern is how does the team have both small/slight guys in their top 9. I guess you could have one on 2nd line and one on 3rd line, but having both play on a third line won’t be ideal come playoff time in the future. I worry that Hoglander might be traded - Aman and Pods got called up, he didn’t. Next year he’s waiver eligible. Maybe swapping him to a team that has a good defensive prospect, even though I really like Hogs game.
  4. Keep chanting Bruce There It Is fans in the arena. Make it abundantly clear to Management and Ownership that this wasn’t okay.
  5. He worked with JR before in Pitt. They want people “they can trust”.
  6. The 18% number quoted is dispersed over the whole country. In big cities, I would wager to bet the number is close to 90% - 95% of people having caught it within the first week of opening up. December 7th was the rule change to no longer test. By December 16th, almost everyone I know had contracted it. A few lucky ones were able to avoid it until the week of 17-23. I only know two people who have avoided it, in a big city, and that’s because they’ve locked themselves away in their apartment this month. Everyone else got it - and got over it within a few days. It would be senior and at-risk children at most risk. I had to take my son to the hospital and one hospital had a 400-child-patient wait and had stopped accepting. In the hospital I eventually ended up in, the emergency pediatric fever clinic had a four hour wait and there were a couple newborn babies who had sepsis or liver failure by the time parents were able to see their doctor.
  7. That third line though... 5'9" Hoglander - 5'9" Dries - 5'10" Garland.....
  8. She re-posted because it seems to have been the cloud link that crashed. https://www.dropbox.com/s/jbtg14z2vvlpoo0/Doerrie v Canucks Human Rights Complaint.PDF?dl=0
  9. Her lawyers probably were like "wtf you doing?!"
  10. The non-call on Hughes followed by PP goal by the Oilers was the turning point, but there's no way the team should be giving up five straight goals....
  11. Wonder if this is maximizing roster flexibility. If he clears, great, and maybe stays as 8th defenseman to start the year. But if better names show up on waivers these days, we can pick up without worrying about papering someone down.
  12. Opening night roster pending Garland's situation? 23-man roster and 100k cap space; not sure implications of maximizing LTIR.
  13. Probably the fact that he’s a center. Keeping up Aman and Dries as extra centers. DiGiuseppe (who is now injured…?) and Karlsson as extra wingers. I still think we see the Canucks grab two off of waivers. A fourth line forward and another defenseman for depth.
  14. I think the Canucks bring in at least one - if not two waiver wire pickups. So I still think Dries, DiGiuseppe, Aman, Karlsson, and Rathbone get sent down. At the least. I’d love to see Dickinson and Poolman waived, but don’t think it will happen.
  15. It’s interesting, John Shannon was just saying yesterday that all preseason games shouldn’t not be televised. Get people to go watch them live. I’m usually in alignment with a lot of his ideas, but this one struck me as odd.
  16. New Jersey has a wealth of right-side defenseman this year, including: 9-million-dollar Dougie Hamilton, newly-acquired John Marino, and 1st round pick Simon Nemec. Damon Severson is on an expiring 4.2 million year deal, with UFA status projected for next summer. There are articles out of NJ that he might be traded this year: https://www.nj.com/devils/2022/10/devils-damon-severson-it-would-definitely-suck-to-be-traded-this-season.html I wonder if the Canucks could put together an offer --- cap hits would need to be similar, as both teams are at the cap. To Van: Severson (4.2 million) + Erik Haula (2.375) To NJD: Pearson (3.25) + Poolman (2.5) + sweetener (Hoglander or 2nd round pick, etc). Canucks could ice a roster that looks like: Podkolzin - Miller - Boeser Mikheyev - Pettersson - Kuzmenko Haula - Horvat - Garland Joshua - Dickinson - Lazar DiGiuseppe Hughes - Severson OEL - Meyers Dermott - Schenn Wolanin/Rathbone - Burroughs Demko Martin
  17. Think he’s in the AHL. After missing a whole year - both Poolman and him need to play down there.
  18. Hoping someone unexpectedly pops up on waivers that the Canucks can grab. Won’t be a top four defenseman but someone who can fit in short term in that spot because no one looks ready. Top 4: Hughes OEL Myers _____ Bottom 4: Schenn Burroughs _____ _____ Rathbone - AHL Poolman - Waivers Dekeyser - Released Dermott - IR
