      @Wilbur But the Canucks aren't exactly in a spot to compete for the cup this season. Far from it, in fact. Why not throw in the towel now and benefit from a failed season?

      I agree, you use this time to iron out the nerves of the Pedans and Tryamkins.  But cheer the gains that players are making, not the increased lottery odds.
