  1. You know something is fishy, when Moir and Virtue breaks the world record in free dance. Then. 30 minutes later, the Americans re-break that record.
  2. Punk seem like a little primadonna. If the rumours are true about him walking out, because he wasn't going to main event at Mania, the good riddance to him. Being in the last match on the PPV is kind of overrated anyway. As long as you can put on the match of the night, then who cares where you're slotted on the card.
  3. Cheer for the crest on the jersey, not the name on the back.
  4. Pretty sure Habs fans would embrace whoever is the starter for Team Canada.
  5. This is why no one has nice things to say about Canucks fans.
  6. Who gives a flying crap who starts. Both goalies are capable of stealing games for their team.
  7. Toews Crosby Those two are a given. The next person I would choose is Duchene, but since he's not playing, I'd go with either Sharp or Tavares.
  8. None of the Canadians players are really all that cocky, when it comes to representing their country. They don't show boat, or overly celebrate when scoring a 6-0 goal.
  9. I don't care who wins, as long as they beat each other up. Both countries have pretty cocky players.
  10. Depends. A guy can barely touch the puck and still gets an assist or if he makes an simple pass (that really does nothing to help to scoring play) to another teammate who passes off to the goal scorer.
  11. Actually, goals matter in the playoffs. Datsyuk's: 8 goals in 30 games. Franzen's: 7 goals in 27 games. Neither of them have outstanding numbers, but for a guy who is counted on for offense that's not playoff numbers. Forgot to mention, 3 of Franzen's 7 goals have been game winners, while none of Datsyuk's goals were.
  12. If all you care about is points.........Franzen has a higher point per game average in the playoffs than Datsyuk.
  13. Not sure why would you bring up that he might not be able to play against tougher teams. He's a 6'3, 220lbs power forward, who can skate fairly well. Besides that 1 year, where he missed almost the entire season, he's been rather durable (missed 40 or so games in 7 season playing in the West, since his rookie year). Saying that he's not a playoff performer based on his last 3 postseason is like saying Datsyuk or Claude Lemieux isn't a playoff performer.
  14. How so? Franzen is nearly a point per game player and is a playoff performer. The only thing negative about Franzen is his contract length and his age.
  15. Kesler is our biggest trade chip, as far as our core group goes. Trade him for younger pieces, while his value is somewhat high.
  16. I can see the team down 5-0 late in the third and Lu is like "frack this". Takes his goalie mask off, takes a random stick from someone and scores on the Leafs.
  17. Mason Raymond with the quadruple hattrick, top with three Gordie Howe hattrick.
  18. I remember in Vancouver that there were a lot of athletes who were favourite to medal, but cracked under pressure. Erik Guay and Manuel Osborne-Paradis in alpine, Charles Hamelin in 1000m and 1500m, Melissa Hollingsworth, etc.
  19. I have a feeling that no Canadian is going to medal in slopstyle.
  20. Lol, Kesler trying to be the hero and do it all by himself.
