  1. Mackinnon was also hurt for part of the year. Insane he’s now top 5 in scoring.
  2. It’s not, but it changes the narrative that it was due to a loss or that the purpose had anything to do with the game at all.
  3. He's technically a reclamation project and still needs to be polished. The raw talent is there and he is engaged and working hard - that's the difference between those who end up turning it around and those who don't. If he spends the rest of the season learning the systems and adapting to the off-ice stuff, I can really see him and Podz being a solid 3rd line that can score and move up the line-up seamlessly.
  4. Great signing. I think Wolanin has more to give despite reaching peak maturity years.
  5. Genuinely it's both, but hypothetical gun to my head I voted Hughes because I feel like he's incredibly underrated around the league. If you go by the numbers and defensive ability, Hughes may not win the Norris but should definitely be top 3. This man needs more recognition.
  6. Fun fact, his dad played with Adam Foote back in the day. Wolanin always had good pedigree.
  7. We have a good leadership group brewing here. Need to surround these guys and cement the back end.
  8. Definitely the first for me. I think a healthy OEL has a bit more to give and with the acquisition of Hronek I think if OEL even played to what he did previous seasons we could let Reinbacher develop on his own time and run with an OEL - Hronek pairing if Hronek isn't playing with Hughes. This also allows other prospects like Filip Johansson develop and even bring Wolanin up as a 3rd pairing. With the second scenario I feel like we'd be giving up assets for cap space which is valuable but mostly because of the economic state the league is in and in a few seasons cap-space is going up and there would be less of a premium than it is now. I think it would be short-sighted to turn a new page without getting a quality piece back, and I would be inclined to assume that we aren't going to with that package. TLDR - run with the first scenario and let cost controlled contracts develop and move up as we unwind on albatross contracts.
  9. Already looks better than Spencer Martin. I was never convinced of him, looked shaky in net and plays smaller than he is. Silovs looked comfortable making desperation saves.
  10. Lol Fr. Horvat works hard but lowkey a cheater for a player who is known for his work ethic.
  11. My 'Chel 2013 fourth-line winger - good times. Alexa, play Bad Girl in Harlem - New Politics.
  12. LOL I don't think we have surpassed the Coyotes. Sad state of affairs.
  13. That parts nice for them, but I'd rather have our scandals than theirs.
  14. Hronek is just under 40 pts half way through the season. More than okay I think lol
  15. This honestly makes the most sense. The Wild get a hometown boy and a player that can actually play for 6.5M. Does anyone know if Dumba can play defense? Especially since his offense has dried up
  16. Agreed, that entire debacle made me physically sick to my stomach. Egregiously crosses the line of humanity which takes outright precedence over anything related to hockey.
  17. Bo is a big-time player but not a big-time leader is how I like to think of it.
  18. Yeah I don’t see how Tocchet is the one to revive OEL. I don’t see how Tocchet is the one to revive the Canucks in general. Hasn’t won anything and his Arizona team played abysmally. Can someone explain the logic of this hire please?
  19. But why was he a healthy scratch? He hasn’t been playing that bad has he?
