    Well if he's the most experienced executive in the entire league then he must be good at master baiting other GM's. Good to know Jim has players on our roster to master bait our way to the cup.

    He's not a bad player and but he's just not scoring enough to be a 2nd line winger. Definitely like him otherwise as a third-line guy that can provide scoring.

    This is awesome. Liked hearing that his mandate at Pittsburgh is different and acknowledging that the Canucks aren't necessarily in win-now mode. Has a long standing friendship with Boudreau and knows that his role isn't going to be hands-on. Thanks for sharing!

    Bastian is 6'4 so why not. Would love to hear more from anyone who knows the player well. Patrick Harper, this guy was so good when I watched him and Keller play for BU. Skilled but never enough to overcome his 5'7 frame, hope he does well in the AHL.

    Don't get why we wouldn't just loan him back to Sweden and have him come back over. Was always a good prospect and the guy we've traded for can sign somewhere else after the end of this year.

    For context, it was mainly because he was carrying those CBJ teams all those years. He was a winger that scored around 40 a year with basically no help as there would typically be a significant discrepancy between him and the second leading point scorer on the team. He led the BlueJackets to the playoffs only once 2008-09 and scored 23 points more than Huselius (56 pts.) that season. Shame he was wasted all those years!

    Why did we not sign this guy again? Young and played well in Allsvenkan - no surprise he's doing well in the SHL this year. Do we lose his rights at the end of this year?

      Oh for sure.  Pods is the type of player who can play on any line, and in any role.  He basically carried his line tonight.

      I wouldn't be surprised if Green sends him down to the AHL. I really don't like how he's been handling his players this preseason.


      Jett Woo has barely been given time to play and he's been overplaying Rathbone.
       

      Hilarious. 7 PPs and Rathbone plays more minutes than Juolevi, who's been nearly 5 minutes penalty killing. :lol:

      Don't understand why so many fans are hellbent on forcing him into the day 1 NHL lineup. It won't hurt for him to get his legs under him in the AHL. If he plays very well for the remainder of the preseason then sure but right now, it's just 1 good exhibition game.

    I read a Russian interview he did where the interviewer confronted him about the $5M a year rumors and he shot them down saying that he’s realistic with what his value is. He also gives insight into what MacKinnon is like as a player in Colorado. The guy is a beauty, wish we could’ve gotten him instead.

    Watched Fabbro back when he was playing for BU. I posted about how Keller and McAvoy were stand outs while Fabbro had lots left to be desired back then as well. I should replace Brackett

    Probably not gonna make the show but always liked Brad Morrison when he was playing juniors. Fun guy to watch.
