  1. There is a bunch of people on here that have no clue, people claiming others are victim blaming Jada while victim blaming Chris Rock at the same time.
  2. He knows that he is wrong and that his take is stupid he's just to stubborn to give up on it.
  3. Who got Physically Assaulted and Verbally and Physically Intimidated Not Jada, Not Will Smith, Chris Rock did though. If a kid in your class tells another kid he doesn't like his shoes and that kid turns and punches him, whos the victim the one who said he didn't like the kids shoes or the one that got hit?
  4. Who's victim shaming? You are. Your the one saying that Chris Rock shouldn't have made the joke if he didn't want to get punched my god how are you a teacher? You have to be a troll or you are one of the most willfully ignorant people I have ever conversed with in my life. CHRIS ROCK IS THE VICTIM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  5. I didn't say that at all actually, Jada had every right to be angry, embarrassed, sad or any other emotion that she had. That's part of life we all get embarrassed, offended, hurt etc by things people say or do. Some one who goes to a bar no matter what they wear should feel safe from Sexual assault (although I feel that probably isn't the case). However someone going to a comedy club or the Oscars should not feel that same protection (whether or not that is right or wrong is a different issue). It's like someone getting into the ring in the UFC, getting beat up then complaining about it. We can't live life wilfully ignorant, put our selves into any situation we feel like and expect that society is going to protect us, the world simply doesn't work that way. So to be clear, Someone going to the Oscars and sitting in the front row aught to have a reasonable expectation that they will be made fun of. Someone going to a bar in slutty clothing aught NOT have a reasonable expectation of being sexually assaulted. And my example of someone going to the Oscars having an expectation that they might made fun of is more in kin to my example of someone getting into a UFC ring and getting beat up then your, honestly just ridiculous comparison of a Slutty dressed person getting Sexually assaulted in a bar. Also lets be clear Sexual assault is a criminal offense and so is physical assault which Will Smith did, however telling jokes even in poor taste is not.
  6. She's been a public figure for 30 plus years, if she can't handle a joke about her, she needs to get out, it's just a reality of being a public figure, right, wrong or indifferent. The joke might have been in poor taste if Rock knew about her condition, but even so the idea that that constitutes Bullying is laughable at best. What Will Smith did was bullying he physically assaulted someone, physically intimidated them and then followed it up with Verbal intimidation. I 100% get that if someone is continually subjected to mental, physical abuse regarding anything really but specifically a Physical characteristic, metical condition or mental impairment it could result to depression and possible suicide. But lets be very clear that is not what happened here.
  7. Your trying to compare a joke to Sexual Assault, you are so far out of touch it's embarrassing.
  8. Dude you should just stop, you are making yourself look ridiculous.
  9. No, again your Ignorance is shining through, that is a stupid and ridiculous thing to say.
  10. Look if you go to a comedy club and a comedian makes fun of you which has been done to me a few times, you can't complain you put yourself in that situation knowing that was a possibility. It's the same thing at the Oscars if you sit in the front row at the Oscars you've put yourself in a position to be made fun of, if you can't handle it you shouldn't have been there in the first place. Everybody knows or should by this point that if you sit in the front row the host is going to poke fun of you. You are saying Will is 100% wrong and yet your posts come off as your justifying his actions at the same time. Chris Rock was there to Roast the celebrities and everyone knows that going in, sit in the back row if you can't handle it. And no a comedian telling a joke is not and never will be akin to Bullying and your assumption that it is just shows your ignorance in the matter. If Chris Rock had done a relentless assault of jokes and put downs of Jada I might see your point but a quick one liner can hardly be construed as bullying.
  11. So your saying Chris Rock is a bully for making a joke and the cure for that is that Will Smith should be an even bigger Bully by hitting him?
  12. Will should lose his Oscar and be kicked out of the Academy at minimum, but of course that wont happen. I always like Will Smith, but it's clear he is nothing more then a Bully.
  13. Well mortgage rates where between 10-20% back then so lets say you borrowed $20,000 at 20% that's $4000 in interest for $11.780 minus taxes is what $8000 so half your salary goes to interest then you need to pay on the principle etc etc. The main driver of housing costs is low interest rates. Nothings changed as far as the percentage of salary being paid toward a house.
  14. Trade deadline day doesn't mean you can't trade players anymore it just means that players traded after aren't eligible to play in the Play-offs, so everyone still has trade value just less. But for example the TD has no effect on say a trade between Ott and Buf.
  15. That's what I thought, either way we can't afford to overpay him based on potential as he has shown no signs of improvement.
  16. That changes things a bit, still think it's time to start play hardball with these guys, we can't win a Cup paying players more then they are worth all the time. We have 3 value contract atm in Demko, Hughes and JT the rest are either neutral or negative value, most being negative IMO.
  17. I don't think so if all that fails you take him to arbitration and trade him next summer, fortunately JT and Bo's contracts aren't due until then. I'm pretty sure we hold Brocks rights for 2 more years. You can play hardball with Brock cause at the end of they day he doesn't really move the needle one way or the other, brock really doesn't hold any cards unless Management gives him some which they likely will which is a shame.
  18. I think there is, you let the agent know that they have a busy summer coming up and they need to know where they stand with Brock, if he still doesn't want to talk you start looking at the trade route and give permission to those teams to talk to the agent about new contracts. They can't let these things drag out like they have been in the past, they have to get ahead of it either by being nice which where you start or by force if need be.
  19. lol I'm not upset in the least, not even from your passive aggressive insult about what you said going over my head. What I said was that they need to come out and say there are going to be changes and if you want to stay you need to prove it on the ice. That's just being honest with the players doesn't matter whether your a boomer a gen x or gen z people need to know where they stand and need to know that they have some control over there future. You seem to be the one that is misunderstanding I said nothing about yelling at them, I don't think any employer should ever yell at an employee it's a sign they have lost perspective. I also don't think you need to stroke their egos, hockey players are a tough breed they can handle the truth and honestly I think they would appreciate it.
  20. That's my point if they don't want to talk we know where they stand and it's time to get the most that we can for him. With 5 people in the front office they can't have the excuse that they where unprepared. They need to be ahead of the game.
  21. Nope not at all, what I want them to do is reshuffle the deck. We need to trade one of our big pieces in order to restock our hand so to speak. They just missed the time when you get the most value and I don't want to see them waste the next which is the summer. They didn't try to negotiate a contract with Motte until the weekend at the earliest and sounds like it was on Monday and they aren't in talks with Boeser about an extension. These guys were to busy hoping to make a run at the playoffs that they didn't do what they needed to do, and got caught unprepared when the team crashed and burned. Basing what you do with your hockey team on a weeks worth of games is a fools move and they just did it.
  22. That's why I think they need to start talks now, and if the agent says they aren't willing to talk, my response would be thank you, that tells us all we need to know about what your client feels about his future with this team and then I'd be looking for trades.
  23. 3 months isn't to short of a time, if you want to trade for a player do you spend half a season scouting him before you do? There is a book on every player in the NHL they just need to read it and interpret it (figurative book btw what I'm saying is if your in the business of hockey you have a descent knowledge of the players in the league).
