    I have no idea how credible this guy is but apparently he's a scout for HockeyProspect.com (so he'd naturally have contact with Judd Brackett amongst others) but apparently Judd's on a shortlist for GM candidates for the Oilers (probably come this offseason).

     

     

    I hope it's not true. I also bet the Canucks would promote Judd before allowing him to go be the GM of the Oilers.

      I doubt he goes to an inferior city like Edmonton.

       

      That fancy new arena and McDavids greasy mullet may only attract the likes of a Craig McTavish or Jay Feaster.

      if an offer is extended

      and brackett thinks it is best he pursue it

      then good luck to him

      never stand in the way of any talent advancing themselves

       

      but that really does not work for the oiler immediate needs

      unless they are planning yet another rebuild

       

      they need to hire a seasoned gm

      who has a strong trade record

      and who is well connected and well respected by other gms

       

      some big trades are going to be required

      to rejig that roster

      and get them out of cap hell

      without doing a total tear down

      and alienating mcdavid

      cuz mcdavid is unlikely going to be happy to burn off 4 more years of his career to enable a rebuild
