For the weather that we get around here that is all you need. I haven't slid or got stuck ONCE this season. and at Christmas I was in Nanaimo where they got double what Vancouver did and my inlaws live on a steep hill. But of course, drivers have to change their tires when they get worn to the point of needing changed. Now this doesn't just apply when it is snowing. Bald tires on dry roads are dangerous too.
