Popular Post The Nuckist
Bah. 3 years later and the OP words still ring true. Fact is he is worth more on the trading market than he is in a Canucks uniform on the ice. Its not hard to find someone who can score with the Sedins. I don't thing anyone was too heartbroken over Anson Carter when he left. He is definitely expendable and MG should consider him a tradeable asset when looking to shore up the Canucks defense. +1 for the OP from me I would literally puke if i ever saw Burrows in anything other than a Canuck sweater. When Burrow's contract is up we better resign him and as absolutely absurd as it is to say, i do not want GMMG to allow him to take another discount like he did last time. Burrows and Linden may be polar opposites in personality but in my mind, #14 has inherited the role of heart of the team. I know there will be many of you who would disagree (although most i would hope still like Burrows) because of his pest antics, but every time the canucks win a big game, its burrows who stand at the entrance of bench and high fives everyone as they get off the ice. anytime a player scores a milestone goal, whether it be a regulars 100th or some rookie call ups first, its Burrows who goes and retrieves the puck. He quite literally does everything he can possible do for the team and might just be the most unselfish player we have. Again, I would be sick to my stomach if i ever saw Burrows in another NHL clubs jersey.
Lemieux
Burrows is a good player, but when his contract is up, Hansen is going to take his place. I'd be surprised if were to get 20 goals on another team without the Sedins.
Popular Post King Heffy
Even if he isn't scoring, the hard work Burr does on the PK, checking and annoying the other teams best players make him a great guy to have on the team. And to top all that off, he scores huge goals in the playoffs. Hope he never leaves here; like Linden, he'll never get booed by Canuck fans. And the Sedins never exploded until they got Burr as a linemate. Edited December 11, 2011 by Number14

JeffSaber
He basically saved the whole team and a lot of people's career's with the Overtime goal against Chicago and you wan't to trade him? You do not strike me as a canucks fan in the slightest. Ask any canucks fan what was their favorite memory in the last 5 years about the canucks and most would probably say Burrows' goal against the Hawks in Game 7 OT. Understand
Burrows scored too many big goals for the Canucks. His goal vs the Hawks last spring earned him a place on the Canucks roster for the rest of his career.
Shift-4
Anyone else notice how on his goalie interference penalty last night it was actually the CBJ defenseman's stick that hit the goalie in the head? Grrrrr

Guest gumballthechewy
Man! Burrows lost that game for us! He should have scored all three time in the shootout! I agree with Cluch! Get rid of Burrows! In fact, it is my misguided belief that Burrows should have scored a hat-trick and denied Columbas a single point!
