Apparently Rooney is part of the fee as well heading to Everton. He was great in his tenure as a RD. nothing but great things to say. Wish him all the best if he so happens to be part of the transfer fee. Welcome, Romelu! Excited to see what he will bring to United and he's already been training with Pogba as well. Chance to see him join the squad just before the tour.

Celtic draw Linfield in the Champions League qualifiers. On the 12th July.

Better get the riot gear out, because it's going to kick off.

Saw that it has been changed from the glorious 12th to the 14th.

Thankfully the folks will miss the mess by a day.

anyone know if the score's reporting of 100M+shrek for lukaku is real? did they have to pay extra to get rid of him?

It's 75M + 15M addons and we waived Rooneys transfer fee

75m pounds = 100m USD though

not sure what the addons or bonuses are. i think you're right about the waived fee though, and rooney himself cut his wages in half

interesting. so he leaves on a free and cuts his wages in half.

wonder what will happen if lukaku has a mediocre season.

how big of budget do they have this year, if they've spent that much on one player?

I remember reading something about Manchester United getting a massive payday in 2017 due to some outstanding TV deal or something. this, on top of the traditional revenue streams which are at record highs (http://www.independent.co.uk/sport/football/premier-league/manchester-united-news-financial-results-ed-woodward-call-revenue-a7738521.html) meant the club had somewhere around 200m to spend this year. I'm sure I'm messing up the details here, but the gist is accurate: they had/have a lot of money to spend

Well United actually spent more on Pogba last year, in addition to getting Mkhitaryan and Bailly so I think we will be fine. United posted a revenue of something like £500M which is the most in world football.

Apparently, it's £100 million when its all said and done. The Rooney transfer is basically a free and he's getting half the wages at Everton that he was earning here. Got ourselves a good one. Proven goal scorer who has what it takes to handle the potential heavy workload with C/L, Cup ties and PL fixtures as well. Got Rashford, Martial also to give him occasional breaks since he probably won't be able to handle playing most matches. Will be interesting how Mickey, Pogba, Herrera, Bailly and others build off the successful year they had this upcoming season that's right around the corner. Ecstatic about the move!

After Reus (ACL) and Weigl (broken ankle) we have international football and the amateurish medical team of Portugal to thank for Guerreiro, who also broke his ankle during the Confed Cup and will miss the next 3-4 months. Initial diagnosis by Portugal was a bruised foot. Lmao.

Perfect start for our new coach with 3 of the best out for almost the entire year.

I hate international football.

Bonucci to Milan is by far the biggest deal of the summer thus far. 40 million for the best defender in the world is beyond a bargain, it is highway robbery. Apparently, Bonucci's relationship with Allegri was the driving factor of this move. This is insane

why do you think Juve would sell him to a rival? just a money talks type deal, or is Milan just not seen as a threat yet?

Apparently during HT of the CL final, Alves and Bonucci didn't think Dybala was giving his all and were giving him stick. Than apparently Barzagli stepped or something and Bonucci slapped him. That's just a rumour, but it's well known Allegri and Bonucci don't get along.

it may be far more than that. Bonucci and Allegri were allegedly exchanging insults during a Serie A win over Palermo thus Allegri removed him from the CL roster shortly after. it's a shame as he's been one of the Europe's top premier passers in football.

on another note, De Sciglio will indeed be on his way to Juve on a separate deal
