Strombone1
What happened to Kevin Bieksa today during the morning skate? Is he injured? I know they said it's a maintenance day, but I think Mike Gillis just slipped and alluded to a Bieksa injury in an interview with Murphy during the 2nd intermission. Dan Murphy: Finally how do you feel about your team with just a handful of games left before the real tournament begins? Mike Gillis: I feel really good, I feel if we get everybody back and healthy, obviously Danny is a key guy, and Kevin, if we have them back and healthy I'm really confident about this team. singhr
Rotating scratches so that they can play Gragnani enough games?
Gollumpus
If Bieksa is injured then it is likely a minor problem. I'm assuming that the coaching staff is giving their d-men a few extra days off here and there, kind of like Salo got a maintenance day a while back. It also allows the depth guys a chance to get some playing time in preparation for the playoffs. regards, G. EDIT: what Singhr said.

The Sedin's 6th Sense
Yea, just came home and started watching the game....checked box scores, and never saw Bieksa. Thought it might've been a mistake that they forgot to add him, but guess not. Any specific news on his injury?

DING
I'm going to go with yes. He took a really hard high stick in the face in the dying seconds of the LA game. He got back up really quickly cause he's a warrior and the game was on the line, so no one noticed. That and MG let it slip. http://youtu.be/bazyAPYla2M?hd=1&t=5m30s
VancouverStyle
I hope not, but i would like to see each of our top 4 sit out a game before we enter the playoffs. So that they are all fresh and ready to go.
JamesTW
He skated in the morning practice but got a maintenance day, so it's nothing serious.

BieksaBella
Darn it, here I was all excited going to the game tonight, which is a rare opportunity, primarily to see my favourite Bieksa with my new Bieksa jersey and I find out he's not playing !!! Canuck Surfer
Everyone is at least sore by this time of year. Not sore like, game 5 of the WCF or Game 7 of the SCF, but sore. A maintenance day cannot hurt! I think he's scratched for Gragnani to get in enough games, could be Hamhuis or Salo next game. That or he's actually injured, but I doubt it
RKESLER17
No its not to get get Gragnai enough games. It's been addressed where someone's contract doesnt effect who is playing or not.
bd71
Is getting Gragnani the games really that important? It's not like he is going to generate offer sheets or anything if they are able to maintain his RFA status.
