Bodee
i would prefer exploring other options to replace Raymond, but Tambo would be the better option. Raymond didn't put effort into his back-check in the playoffs this year and Tambo - well I'm sure we all remember his amazing back check play he did (last season I beleive). TOMapleLaughs
Too inconsistent to be an NHL player. That's why he's not. Cheers. TOML
kebih22
Was playing with Jeff out at UBC a couple of nights ago...I can tell you, he still has the hands and the wheels.

Dogbyte
I really liked Tambo and thought he did great in an energy type role on the 4th line. Much better than what we put out there this year in fact. And he's only like 5'8 of something. As some posters have mentioned he is kind of one dimensional when it comes to offence. Top shelf snipe ... that's about it. Bodee
Part of this club's and some of our fan's trouble is we refuse to go for GAME CHANGERS. We are stacked with damn fine players but things get won when you have bona fide game changers in your team. The Sedins are silky, skill full and a lot tougher than they are given credit for but they don't frighten anyone, either in a pugilistic sense or a "clear defenders out of the way" sense. Burrows can be a game changer but unfortunately he too is not able to knock people over. Kesler, when fit, is our only real game changer............JUST. However is it fair to place the total load on him? No it's not and his body has taken a hammering because of it. Higgins and Booth are 2nd division. They try to put themselves about a bit but we saw how effective they are when they encounter big bodies like the Kings had. They were to all intents and purposes ..............snuffed out. So give me a battler like Kane on Kes's line to help spread the load and give me someone like a young Owen Nolan up there with the Sedin's to give them the space to get the job done. People like Tambo are not going to get us to the Cup..........so let's stop setting our sights on good average players and instead get a couple of forwards who can "make some noise" and let one of them be an elite big body. Enough bargain basement hunting.......we are past the time for "uncovered gems"
Snake Doctor
Tambo brings more skill and grit than Raymond. I say yes, bring this guy back!

Jester@wraiths.ca
Was always a fan of Tambellini and wouldn't mind him coming back. I just hope he plays more consistently he did play with Raymond and Kesler on the second line, did well there but eventually slumped.
tjkaemingh
Tambellini? really? no thanks. Been there done that. Likeable guy. Similar skill set to Raymond. Price may be right. But does not fit on this team. If you are in the top 6 you better be scoring close to 30 goals. Bottom six, better be big, mean, aggressive, checking, etc.. Watching these Raymond videos makes me sad what we had. He is so damn fast. That is his strength. too bad it is wasted on him. He just does not seem to fit here. Unless that injury really screwed him up...... Speed kills but Mayray may be better off in another uniform next season. We gave him a shot.... needtogetswole
no we do not need to give someone we let go another chance... we should not give raymond a chance were trying to win the cup - we don't need to be giving people chances so they either succeed or fail - we do not need any failures we just want the cup. no weaklinks.. Edlerberry
The Islanders gave up on him. The Islanders gave up on him. He was a regular healthy scratch/AHL player. His career year came when he played with us.
goblix
Tambo has more grit and probably would fit on the third line more so than Raymond, but Tambo is playing in the swiss league right now, he is enjoying it there and has 1-2 years left on his contract so he's untouchable for now.... I'm not really finished with Raymond yet, I'm losing patience only because he's not good enough for the top 6 role and he's not gritty enough for the bottom 6 role. That said Raymond is only 26 still and some players don't come into their own until they are 26-28 years old. With a full season to train now, Raymond should be fit enough and hopefully has more balance next year. If Tambo does come back to the NHL, which I think he will, I'd sign him for another 1 year deal, but it is likely he'd go to calgary and re-unite with Bob Hartley who made him the best player on the Zurich Lions. Great guy, and wish him the best in the years to come.
CookieCrumbs
Tambellini is much more valuable than Raymond on any given day. At least if he's not scoring the guy can hit. I liked Tambo, was disappointed to see him go and Raymond stay. Raymond needs to fukcing bounce out of here.

Ginu
Man, I can watch that sing over and over... awesome especially since the cat looks like my cat... I would have to agree with your post below as well, altho I would really, really like to see Ray depart so we can bring in a more consistent player instead. I want Raymond gone more than anyone, but I still consider him to be >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> Tambellini. Skills, but no hockey sense at all. Can't release that shot if you're never able to get open.
