[Proposal]

If Pahlsson doesn't come back, we have a big gap in the centre position. Lapierre is better suited as a 4th liner, and Schroeder probably won't have the two-way prowess to help Kesler break out into the 40 goal scorer. Helm, on the other hand, is a proven two-way centre who can dazzle with his speed.

With Lidstrom retired and Stuart probably walking, the Wings only really have Kronwall, Abdelkader, Qunicey and White. They need a defenceman who can make a great breakout pass.

I wouldn't trade Tanev,Kconn,Schroeder Kassian or Jensen. The only prospects I'd move would be Sauve and Rodin...we need those prospects.

I'd sooner trade Edler to STL for Berglund and a 1st

Trade Luongo for Weiss (if FLA has as much interest as is speculated) and have this:

****Sign Garrison and Allen also

Sedin-Sedin-Burrows

Perron-Weiss-Kesler

Higgins-Berglund-Hansen

Weise-Lapierre-Manny

Bieksa-Hamhuis

Garrison-Allen

Tanev-Salo

seems realistic, but if there's better deals available then by all means (e.g. if Raymond + 4th could get Helm)

if the T.O. trade didn't involve Ballard and had a slight upgrade in one or more of the returning parts then it could be realistic
