Yeria
2012 is a year of change. Upsets all over the place, Lidstrom retires, Luongo leaves the Canucks (soon enough), Brodeur leaves the Devils, What is next?
EternalCanuckFan
Just retire Marty...
Stefan
If we can get him for cheap, he can split duties with Schneider.
AoSimon
Dan Rosen @drosennhl Allaire wanted to teach Brodeur the butterfly and Brodeur had no interest. Brodeur's style has worked pretty well, too, I'd say.
canuckbeliever
Ya cause Brodeur would be their star goaltender for the next 10 years right?...
oldnews
Toronto media blowing hiring an agent out of proportion and speculating wildly - haven't seen much of that recently have we? This is their compensation fantasy for the fact that they whiffed on the Luongo deal.
Samuel Påhlsson
Pretty sure as a french Canadian, Brodeur would die before putting on the blue and white.
TheGhostOfRazor
I'm pretty certain that if Francois Allaire was the stumbling block for Toronto to sign Brodeur, they'd let Allaire go.
-Vintage Canuck-
So Luongo's value gets a little higher now?
votrechien
That's an absolute disgrace to Broduer. He's arguably the best goal tender of all time, just took them to the stanley cup finals, has played his entire career with them, but they can't give him 1 more year? DeNiro
If Brodeur's leaving New Jersey, that means he likely knows Parise's gone, and their chances of winning a cup next season go down big time. He'll go to a contender like Detroit, Boston, or Chicago for his final year for a shot at the cup. The good news is, I think we'll be getting a phone call from New Jersey about one of our goaltender's pretty soon.

-Vintage Canuck-
@DarrenDreger If Brodeur leaves NJD, the goalie market opens. If he lands in Fla..Theodore springs free, or Garon in TB...plus, price may drop for Luongo.
