Common sense Posted July 4, 2012 Share Posted July 4, 2012 FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: Wednesday, July 3, 2012 MacLean GLENDALE, ARIZONA --- Phoenix Coyotes General Manager Don Maloney has issued the following statement regarding Coyotes forward Brett MacLean - who suffered a cardiac emergency last night in Owen Sound, Ontario. “Brett was playing hockey last night in Owen Sound, Ontario when he suffered a medical emergency,” said Maloney. “Brett received CPR on site and was taken to a local hospital by ambulance where he was treated. He was then transported via an air ambulance to Knight University Hospital in London, Ontario where he was admitted to the cardiac ICU. Our thoughts and prayers are with Brett and his family. We request that everyone please respect their privacy at this time. Very scary when it can happen to a guy who plays in the NHL, and out of shape mooks like me step on the ice to play all the time. Hope he recovers fast. Luckily he was in a place where the people around him did the right things and had the right tools to take care of him immediately.
