Shades of Joe Pisarchik. Ravens trying to punch ball over from the one, only to fumble and have Bengals return it for a 99 yd td. What a backbreaker.

The Ravens had 2 series with a 1st and goal from the 3 yard line....on the first one, they threw 3 incompletions and had to settle for a field goal...On the second opportunity, they decided to throw on 1st down again....

They have a good running game. They should have used it....

Some head scratching decisions to be sure. They also let about 40 seconds run off the clock with 1:30 to go, and they had two time outs left.
Gifted this game to the Bengals.

I have to SMH a bit at this recent trend of Monday (and sometimes Sunday) morning articles of how "fans are furious" over this or that missed call from the previous day's action...it seems like there is at least one article for every game...

This morning I read about a "blatant false start" by the Giants on a play that resulted in a touchdown....was it a false start? Yes. Was it "blatant"? Not really.....

Still, in the comments section of a tweet that someone posted after the game, one Viking fans complained about how the NFL was so "obviously rigged" and how they would "never allow a small market team like the Vikings to win"....

Now, as a fan of a small market team that has never won a Super Bowl myself, it's tempting to believe that the deck is stacked against you, but it doesn't really stand up to any scrutiny....The smallest market in the NFL is the Green Bay Packers. Yet they somehow have managed to overcome this league bias...Pittsburgh is hardly a large market, but they've done okay....

Even the Vikings - Giants game yesterday.....sure, Vikings fans can complain about the missed false start, but what about the questionable roughing the passer penalty that gave Kirk Cousins another chance, after what could have (and some would say "should have") ended his night....
