Kumquats
According to those stats Bieksa has 9GWG in the regular season (Edler has 2) and 3 in the playoffs while Hammer and Edler have 0.
UFCanuck
Pretty obvious it's Hamhuis.
canucksnihilist
when (or if, depending on your take) Edler gets in a groove, he has the best top end talent and skill. when it is put to use properly, he is the team's #1 for sure. for consistency, he is not there. He tries to take shortcuts sometimes? But I don't care, if he can play like he did in game #5 of the scf, and only bring that game when it counts, we would all be happy... and the drop passes... that is coaching though... Edit: Last playoffs was markedly different than the scf run though... let's hope it was just the injury... This year and this playoffs will tell us a lot! oldnews
Now, I realize that these aren't very advanced statistics and there's probably some metric out there that somebody could used to attempt to determine that Edler is not the team's #

bluesman60
Dan Hamhuis easy. He's sound defensively, makes little mistakes, Canadian kid, and to top it off he still manages to put up points and usually from what I remember anyways; most of his goals are pretty clutch. If Edler would stop making silly mistakes and giveaways he would be our #1. He has great offensive potential and a great skill set; he just hasn't found his stride yet. Seem's like he finds it for awhile and plays better then any player in the league, then loses it and goes back down to rookie level. Bieksa is good but just makes to many silly plays, and penalties. Kass9
Way to raise that post count.
Joel Heyman
Edler and Tanev are going to be solid tonight. Tanev has an insane defensive game for any defenseman, never mind a 23 year old. If Tanev had Edler's body he'd be a future Norris winner for sure. But, the two of them should be good together, Edler will provide the offense and physical play that Tanev lacks and Tanev will provide the defense and calm composure that Edler lacks. L'Orange
Hamhuis then Bieksa. Edler could be if he wasn't so godawful in his own end, and the most inconsistent player on the team.
Nashi
Edler but I was really stuck between him and Hammy.
