Pouria
And this is why I go back to my post on the Jets making a play for him. They have the cap space to take him from the Blue Jackets, and the need of a center like Dubinsky. Far more likely a team like Winnipeg, Ottawa, or Toronto picks him up than Vancouver. All three of those teams have the cap space to take him on.
Monty
TO would not want Dubi and his contract, ditto Winnipeg and Ottawa. They aren't going to deal cheap, young players for overpaid players like Dubinsky even if they have cap space. That cap space will be used to re-sign their young players who will become RFAs soon. So get that idea out of your head, otherwise we would've traded Luongo long time ago. If Luongo's contract is diminishing his trade value that much, the same argument applies to Dubinsky. Ride the red Pony
We don't need Dubinsky. We have enough 3rd line grinder type players in Higgins, Hansen, Raymond and Kassian.
NP-4815162342
If we are adding another 4.2 contract we are getting rid of a 4.2 contract cya booth it'd be good To add a center and to lose a winger we have to many
elvis15
You can't buy out a player who's a pending free agent. That's assuming you aren't planning on re-signing him and then buying him out of course.
Tangelos
Not much of an arguement made against bringing Dubinsky in here, none are playing the middle, Raymond a grinder? okay. Kassian and Booth with Dubinsky, looks like a nice line.
Ride the red Pony
Well Raymond isn't a playmaker, sniper, power forward or tough guy. That only leaves grinder And Dubinsky doesn't solve the issue because no one on the line can pass. Need a passer.

elvis15
Wow... oversimplication you think? He can skate, he can shoot, he can pass, kill PK and play on the PP.

CB007
Yup, he's still playing the original Hockey game from Nintendo, where there's only a fat guy, a medium guy and a skinny guy, and each player is defined strictly by that type.
CB007
You pretty much defined a grinder. Good job.

Tangelos
Grinders: They can do a bit of everything, but nothing extraordinarily well. Raymond is a grinder. It's not rocket science folks, don't get your panties in a wad there CB007

Tangelos
Can't hit, can't fight, doesn't agitate and definitely not the strongest guy along the boards. Guys like Laich, Higgins, Burrows and Lapierre are grinders. So no, Raymond is more like the skinny guy in your imaginary Nintendo universe. CB007
Grinders don't have to fight. Tough guys have to fight. Grinders don't have to be strong along the boards. Power forwards do. You're panties are in a wad. Better change them.
